HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2025 - 14 Amend Comp Plan Map 301 S 12th W to Intermediate Residential RESOLUTION FOR AMENDING REXBURG COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP Resolution No 2025 - 14 WHEREAS, on the 17th day of December 2025, the City Council for the City of Rexburg was duly convened upon notice properly given and a quorum was duly noted; and WHEREAS, in a Rexburg Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on the 16th of December 2025, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing, taking public comment for and against the proposal to amend the Comprehensive Plan Map. The public hearing ended with a vote to recommend the proposed Comprehensive Plan Map change to City Council; and WHEREAS, in a subsequent City Council meeting on the 17th day of December 2025, the City Council reviewed the findings from the Planning and Zoning Commission’s Public Hearing held on the 16th of December 2025; and WHEREAS, a comprehensive plan is a living document; an ongoing planning participation effort by the citizens of the community is encouraged to ensure changing conditions meet the needs of the community; and WHEREAS, proposed changes to comprehensive plan map can change land use designations; and WHEREAS, the following approved Land Use designation changes to the Comprehensive Plan Map from Low Residential to Intermediate Residential at approximately 301 S 12th W (25-01288) in the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho and more particularly described as follows: Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment Legal Description: A PARCEL OF LAND THAT LIES FULLY WITHIN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 25, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 39 EAST, BOISE MERIDIAN. SUBJECT PARCEL BEING 13.434 ACRES OF LAND AS DESCRIBED IN THE WARRANTY DEED INSTRUMENT NUMBER 250423 AS FOUND IN THE MADISON COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE. BASIS OF BEARING IS NORTH 89° 48' 29” EAST 2637.14 FEET MEASURED BETWEEN THE FOUND WEST QUARTER CORNER AND THE CENTER QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION 25. SUBJECT PARCEL BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT A SET 5/8" IRON ROD AND CAP MARKED PLS 20907 ON THE EAST WEST QUARTER SECTION LINE, SAID POINT LIES 1,198.40 FEET NORTH 89° 48' 29" EAST ALONG SAID QUARTER SECTION LINE FROM THE FOUND BRASS CAP MARKING THE WEST QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION 25, SAID POINT BEING THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; RUNNING THENCE NORTH 00° 21' 57” WEST 659.87 FEET TO THE NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTH HALF OF THE SOUTH HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 25; THENCE NORTH 89° 49' 15” EAST 508.13 FEET ALONG THE SAID NORTH LINE TO THE WEST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF US HIGHWAY 20; THENCE SOUTH 00° 08' 26” EAST 659.76 FEET TO THE EAST-WEST QUARTER SECTION LINE; THENCE SOUTH 89° 48' 29” WEST 505.52 FEET ALONG THE EAST-WEST QUARTER SECTION LINE TO THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINS 334,204 SQUARE FEET OR 7.67 ACRES OF LAND. BEING A PORTION OF PARCEL NUMBER RPRXBCA0254499 WHEREAS, the changes shown on the Comprehensive Plan Map dated December 17, 2025. NOW THEREFORE, by resolution duly adopted on the date first above written, be it resolved by the Mayor and the City Council the following: The City of Rexburg does hereby accept and adopt the said Comprehensive Plan Map Land Use Designations in the City of Rexburg Comprehensive Plan.
