We receommend protecting all anchors installed with Simpson Set 3G epoxy from moisture, as moisture can release the bond between the epoxy and the concrete, subjecting the anchor to pulling out. S3.0 No wire rope bracing was observed as noted by keynote 1, see attached photo #1. All wire rope bracing must be installed as noted on plans and shown in details. S2.2 The wood stud wall on the west side of the second floor was observed to have a break approximately midspan of wall with (2) 2x6 plates spanning from the ICF concrete wall to the first steel column, see photo #2. We recommend adding (2) additional 2x6 plates to the existing (2) 2x6 plates and attaching all plys together with 16d nails at 6" on center staggered. We recommend attaching the (4) plates at the ICF wall and at the steel column with (2) Simpson A35 clips per the attached figure #1. It was also observed on the same wall that the several of the studs were broken and spliced together, see photo #2. We recommend replacing these studs with studs spanning from bottom plate to the (4) 2x6 plates at midwall height. All angle braced must be installed per detail 306 or as otherwise noted previously. S5.0 Provide Simpson DTT2Z holdown as noted in previous observation and per Figure #2 on detail 303, where roof joists attach to ICF concrete wall. S5.0 Note: Many of the items noted here-in may not have been completed at the time of observation due to phase of construction. These items are solely observations made and do not supersede the intent of the original construction documents, unless specifically noted above. No HGA10 clip was observered on joists per detail 201. We recommend ommitting the HGA10 clips noted and replace with a Simpson DTT2Z holdown with a 1/2" diameter anchor rod, drilled and epoxied into ICF concrete wall with Simpson Set 3G epoxy and 6" emebedment into concrete.
