HomeMy WebLinkAboutRe Manufab verificationHi Cody, Yes the cold joints is fine as long as their rebar is either continuous at the cold joint or meet the lap splice length requirements. Installing the vertical bars in the wet concrete after they pour the concrete is fine on our end. Thanks, Sent from my iPhone On Sep 26, 2023, at 12:35 PM, Cody Jones <Cody.Jones@rexburg.org> wrote: Hello Cody, Thank you for taking my call and answering my questions this morning. I received an email from Justin Rasmussen with your comments. Just to clarify you stated that note #3 in detail T7 can be omitted and both vertical and horizontal rebar does not need to be tied as long as laps are to specified length. Horizontal bar is easy to verify splice length, vertical bar is to be set in after concrete and I have no way of verifying splice length. Another concern I have is the cold joint in the foundation every lift and the structural stability of building. If you could please verify my concerns I would appreciate it. Thanks
