Rezone 238 & 243 Ella Ln from Medium Density Residential 1
(MDRi) to Medium Density Residential 2 (MDR2) Zone
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND CHANGING THE ZONING MAP OF
THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO, AND PROVIDING THAT THE
ZONED DESIGNATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, SITUATED IN REXBURG, MADISON
COUNTY, IDAHO, BE CHANGED AS HEREINAFTER DESIGNATED;
AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY the City of Rexburg, Idaho:
SECTION I: That the zoning map of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, which is
filed with the city clerk thereof, be, and the same is hereby amended and changed
to provide that the hereinafter described property situated in the City of Rexburg,
Madison County, State of Idaho, regarding (#25 00039) to rezone 238 & 243 Ella
Ln from Medium Density Residential 1(MDR1) to Medium Density Residential 2
(MDR2) zone in the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho.
The legal description of the said properties in Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho,
are as follows:
Legal Description:
BEGINNING AT POINT THAT IS N.0001i'o6"E. ALONG THE SECTION LINE 1159.37
FEET AND N.89035'15"E. 420.78 FEET FROM THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SECTION
17, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 4o EAST OF THE BOISE MERIDIAN, SAID POINT
BEING ON THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF HIGHWAY 33 (YELLOWSTONE
HIGHWAY); RUNNING THENCE N.89035'15"E. 142•43 FEET TO THE WEST
BOUNDARY LINE OF KENNETH SQUARE CONDOMINIUM DEVELOPMENT, AS
PURSUANT TO IDAHO CODE, TITLE 55 CHAPTER 15, CITY OF REXBURG, MADISON
COUNTY, IDAHO; THENCE S.00°o8'o8"E. ALONG SAID WEST BOUNDARY LINE
495•oo FEET; THENCE S.89035'15"W. 36o.27 FEET TO SAID EAST RIGHT-OF-
WAY OF SAID HIGHWAY 33 (YELLOWSTONE HIGHWAY); THENCE NORTHERLY
ALONG SAID EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE THE FOLLOWING THREE (3) COURSES: (1)
THENCE N.19007'59"E. 2o6.59 FEET TO A POINT OF CURVE WITH A RADIUS OF
1223.24 FEET AND A CHORD BEARING N.24038'oo"E. 234.48 FEET; (2) THENCE TO
THE RIGHT ALONG SAID CURVE 234.85 FEET THROUGH A CENTRAL ANGLE OF
11000'00"; (3) THENCE N.3o"o8'oo"E. 102.03 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
CONTAINING 3.002 ACRES WITH ELLA LANE
SECTION II: That a new zoning map showing these amendments shall
be certified to and declared to be the official zoning map of the City of Rexburg by
passage of this Ordinance by the City Council of the City of Rexburg.
SECTION III: This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage,
approval and publication.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR on
this 23rd day of April 2025.
