J ."~~f't' -'\.---------.. .-._-~ WHEREAS, Rexburg will have a sewage lagoon and treatment facility which will be of sufficient size to treat the sewage of the inhabitants of Sugar City as well as the inhabitants of the City of Rexburg, and WHEREAS, the City of Sugar City will pay usage fees to the City of Rexburg for the use of Rexburg's facilities, and with will into WHEREAS, the City of Rexburg has negotiated a contract the Rexburg Irrigation Company whereby the City of Rexburg be able to discharge treated waste water from its facility the canal operated by the Rexburg Irrigation Company, and WHEREAS, a copy of the contract between the City of Rexburg and the City of Sugar City is attached hereto and a copy of the contract between the Rexburg Irrigation Company and the City of Rexburg is attached hereto, H ! ~ Ii I' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of II Rexburg enter into an agreement with the City of Sugar City II whereby tJ'le City of Rexburg for certain considerations and Ii agreements to be performed by the City of Sugar City, will acce?t " for treatment tte sewage of the inhabitants of the City of i; Sugar City, and -n---~-'~-"-'BE'fT-'FURTHElr RESOLVED~'that the City of Rexburg enter ii into an agreement with the Rexburg Irrigation Company whereby II the Rexburg Irrigation Company agrees to let the City of Rexburg n discharge treated waste water from its facility into the canal ;} il operated by the Rexburg Irrigation Company, and \\ !! d l\ h .' 'i " l ~ H o l' il " between City of to this BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of the agreement the City of Rexburg and the City of Sugar City and the Rexburg and the Rexburg Irrigation Company be attached resolution, and ......". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to sign said agreements on behalf of the City of Rexburg. Nile Boyle seconded the adoption of the resolution and the Mayor called for a vote. He stated this would save consider- Ii ! able time and effort insofar as any impact statement was concerned. ;! The Mayor stated that the city had already decided to drop 7th Ii South from the plan. il ;i Councilman Jim Morris introduced and read in full H Ordinance No. 601. It was moved by Councilman Nile Boyle and n seconded by Councilman Warren Porter, that the rule requiring t: ordinances of general and permanent nature to be fully and ,I distinctly read on three different days be dispensed with and jl that said Ordinance 601 be passed and adopted as read.
