Rezone 340 W 2nd N from Low Density Residential 2 (LDR2) to
Medium Density Residential i (MDRi) Zone
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND CHANGING THE ZONING MAP OF
THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO, AND PROVIDING THAT THE
ZONED DESIGNATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, SITUATED IN REXBURG, MADISON
COUNTY, IDAHO, BE CHANGED AS HEREINAFTER DESIGNATED;
AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY the City of Rexburg, Idaho:
SECTION I: That the zoning map of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, which is
filed with the city clerk thereof, be, and the same is hereby amended and changed
to provide that the hereinafter described property situated in the City of Rexburg,
Madison County, State of Idaho, regarding (#24 00939) to rezone 340 W 2nd N
from Low Density Residential 2 (LDR2) to Medium Density Residential 1 (MDR1)
zone in the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho.
The legal description of the said properties in Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho,
are as follows:
Legal Description:
Beginning at a point which is 100.15 feet West of the Southeast corner of Lot
1, Block 4 of Bell and Bigler Addition to Rexburg as per the duly recorded plat
thereof, in Madison County, Idaho, and thence running 124 feet North; thence
99 feet West; thence 124 feet South; thence 99 feet East to the place of
beginning.
Also: That portion of Lot 2 and the West 8.35 feet of Lot 1 in Block 4 of the
Bell & Bigler Addition to the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho, being
East of the Rexburg Irrigation Canal.
Also: That portion of the following property lying East of the Rexburg
Irrigation Canal: Beginning at a point which is 100.15 feet West and 124 feet
North of the Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 4 of the Bell & Bigler Addition
to the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho, said point being the true
point of beginning, and thence North 2o6 feet; thence West 99 feet; thence
South 2o6 feet; thence East 99 feet to the true point of beginning.
Also: Situated in the State of Idaho, County of Madison, City of Rexburg,
being part of Lot 1, Block 4 of Bell & Bigler Addition to the City of Rexburg,
being a tract out of an original tract conveyed to Vaune & Julia Powell
Revocable Living Trust of record in Instrument No. 284538, Instrument No.
293923, Instrument No. 346747, said tract being more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at a "T" Fence post found at the Northeast corner of said Lot 1,
Block 4 as conveyed to said Powell Revocable Living Trust, the southeast
corner of Lot 8, Block 4 of said Bell & Bigler Addition as conveyed to Virgil R.
& Maria J. Bloomquist of record in Instrument No. 231456, the northwest
corner of Lot 4, Block 11 of the Original Rexburg Townsite as conveyed to
Gordan G. Meredith of record in Instrument No.183019, and the Southwest
corner of Lot 1, Block 11 of said Original Rexburg Townsite as conveyed to
said Bloomquist, said "T" Fence post being referenced by an iron rod set
South 00°21'00" East, a distance of 5.00 feet; thence South 00021'oo" East, a

distance of 182.00 feet with the East line of said Lot 1, Block 4 and the West
line of said Lot 4, Block 11(passing an iron rod set for reference at a distance
Of 5.00 feet) to an iron rod set at a Southeast corner of said Powell Tract and
the Northeast corner of a tract conveyed to Cody E. & Megan D. Slaugh of
record in Instrument No. 325082; thence South 89°45'01" West, a distance
Of 100.15 feet with a South line of said Powell Tract and the North of said
Slaugh Tract to an iron rod set; thence North 00°21'00" West, a distance of
182.00 feet over and across said Powell Tract (passing an iron rod set for
reference at a distance of 132.00 feet) to a point marking the Northwest
corner of said Powell Tract and being in the North line of said lot 1, Block 4;
thence North 89045'0l" East, a distance of 100.15 feet with the north line of
said lot 1, Block 4 and the South line of said lot 8, Block 4 (passing an iron
rod set for reference at a distance of 20.00 feet) to the Point of Beginning,
more or less.
SECTION II: That a new zoning map showing these amendments shall
be certified to and declared to be the official zoning map of the City of Rexburg by
passage of this Ordinance by the City Council of the City of Rexburg.
SECTION III: This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage,
approval and publication.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR on
this 22nd day of January 2025.
