JOBSITE LEVELING OF ADJACENT MEMBERS MAY BE NECESSARY.
THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR SLABS THAT BECOME A
FINISHED CEILING. PRESTRESSING INTRODUCES A SLIGHT UPWARD
"BOW" OR CAMBER IN THE HOLLOWCORE. THIS OPERATION IS
TYPICALLY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ERECTOR AND IS EXPECTED
WHEN A SMOOTH UNDER SURFACE IS IMPORTANT. IT IS SOMETIMES
POSSIBLE TO MINIMIZE DIFFERENCES BY SHIMMING UNDER THE ENDS
AT THE WALL.
GROUTING OF THE JOINTS OR "KEYWAYS" SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED
IN A GOOD WORKMANLIKE MANNER USING PORTLAND CEMENT.
GROUT CONSISTS OF THREE PARTS CLEAN CONCRETE SAND AND AT
LEAST ONE PART PORTLAND CEMENT. MIXTURES SHALL BE OF A
CONSISTENCY THAT REQUIRES "RODDING" OR "TAMPING" INTO
PLACE. KEYWAYS SHALL BE TAMPED FULL FOR THE ENTIRE LENGTH
PRIOR TO POURING FLOOR TOPPING.
SLABS THAT DO NOT BEAR SQUARELY AND SMOOTHLY ON THE
BEARING WALLS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH LEVEL BEARING BY
PACKING OR "POINTING" VOIDED SPACES WITH GROUT.
OPENING MAY BE CUT IN THE FIELD ONLY SO LONG AS NO
REINFORCING STRANDS ARE CUT. CONTACT TETON PRESTRESS
PRIOR TO FIELD CUTTING OF ANY OPENINGS.
TETON PRESTRESS CONCRETE ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR
DESIGN OF THE PRESTRESS MEMBERS ONLY. DESIGN OF FOOTINGS,
CIP WALLS, BEAMS ETC SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
OWNER.
PANELS THAT ARE GREATER THAN 27'-0" IN LENGTH REQUIRE
TEMPORARY SHORING AT MID SPAN DURING PLACEMENT AND
CURING (7 DAY MINIMUM) OF TOPPING SLAB

7.SHOP DRAWINGS SHALL BE SUBMITTED FOR ALL STRUCTURAL ITEMS IN ADDITION TO
ITEMS REQUIRED BY ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
REVIEW ALL SHOP DRAWINGS PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL. ITEMS NOT IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT DRAWINGS SHALL BE FLAGGED UPON HIS REVIEW. VERIFY ALL

4.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ARRANGE AN ANCHOR MANUFACTURER'S
REPRESENTATIVE TO PROVIDE ONSITE INSTALLATION TRAINING FOR ALL OF THEIR
ANCHORING PRODUCTS SPECIFIED. THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER OF RECORD MUST
RECEIVE DOCUMENTED CONFIRMATION THAT ALL OF THE CONTRACTOR'S
PERSONNEL WHO INSTALL ANCHORS ARE TRAINED PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT
OF INSTALLING ANCHORS.
5.ANCHOR CAPACITY IS DEPENDANT UPON SPACING BETWEEN ADJACENT ANCHORS
