HomeMy WebLinkAboutDan Hanna Bio 1.7.25 Dan Hanna and his wife Cathy Heinz Hanna moved to Rexburg with three children in January 1985. The temperature was 40 degrees below zero. A few years later they built their home on 3 acres on what is now 1000 East 7th North. Two more daughters were born in Rexburg. Their children graduated from Madison High School. We have always appreciated the outstanding teachers and programs offered by the Madison School district. Their daughters Dantzelle and Jessica participated in Orchestra, their sons played sports primarily in wrestling. Camron was the 145 pound Idaho State Wrestling Champion for Madison in 2002. Brandon was a state wrestling finalist and their oldest daughter, Adrienne was the Idaho State level 6 gymnastic champion. Their children are married and have blessed Dan and Cathy with 20 wonderful grandchildren. Brandon, their oldest son and his wife Kacie Hart Hanna live in Rexburg with their 4 children. Their two sons are wrestlers and their daughters are actively involved in school programs. Brandon serves on the Madison Fair Board and Kacie teaches pre-school in Idaho Falls. Dan was employed by Diet Center in the olden days as Human Resource Director. He retired from Alliance Title & Escrow in September 2023 and he and Cathy left on a mission to serve a twelve month full-time mission in the Italy Rome Mission. They served on the stunningly beautiful island of Sardinia this past year. They have been home for approximately 2 months. Dan is best known in the community for his work career and for being a farrier. He continues to shoe horses and has been a long-time breeder of registered American Quarter Horses. Dan served on Rexburg Planning and Zoning representing the Impact Zone from 2006 to 2015. He is happy to have the opportunity to again represent Madison County on Rexburg Planning and Zoning. He also served on the Madison Economic Development Commission for a number of years. The Hannas love living in Eastern Idaho and are always proud to introduce themselves as citizens of Madison County/Rexburg Idaho.
