THE INTENT OF THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS
IS TO CONSTRUCT THE BUILDING IN ACCORDANCE
WITH IDAHO BUILDING CODE. SHOULD ANY
CONDITIONS DEVELOP NOT COVERED BY THE
CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS WHEREIN THE FINISHED
WORK WILL NOT COMPLY WITH SAID CODE, A CHANGE
ORDER DETAILING THE REQUIRED WORK TO ACHIEVE
COMPLIANCE SHALL TO BE SUBMITTED TO AND
APPROVED BY AHJ BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS
WORK.
WORK EXEMPT FROM PERMIT BY THE IBC 105.2 OR
ASCE 7-05 SECTION 13.1.4 NEED NOT BE DETAILED ON
THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. EXEMPTIONS FROM
PERMIT REQUIREMENTS OF THE CODE SHALL NOT BE
DEEMED TO GRANT AUTHORIZATION FOR ANY WORK
TO BE DONE IN ANY MANNER IN VIOLATION OF THE
PROVISIONS OF THE CODE OR ANY LAWS OR
ORDINANCES OF THIS JURISDICTION.
WORK SHALL BE EXECUTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE BEST STANDARDS AND PRACTICES OF THE
TRADE.
WORK SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH APPLICABLE
CODES, LOCAL REGULATIONS, SAFETY ORDERS OF
THE STATE INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION, OSHA, AND AHJ
CODE APPLICATIONS
PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK CONTRACTOR SHALL
VERIFY FIELD CONDITIONS AND NOTIFY THE
ARCHITECT IN WRITING OF DISCREPANCIES.
PROTECT PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTY AND
IMPROVEMENTS FROM DAMAGE. DAMAGED AREAS
SHALL BE REPLACED IN GOOD CONDITION.
CONTRACTOR SHALL REPLACE DEFECTIVE MATERIALS
OR WORKMANSHIP INSTALLED BY THEM AT NO COST
TO THE OWNER AND SHALL REMEDY ANY DEFECTS IN
MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP WHICH APPEAR WITHIN
A ONE YEAR PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF PROJECT
COMPLETION.
CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE LABOR, MATERIALS,
EQUIPMENT, INSURANCE, AND SERVICES FOR THE
EXECUTION OF WORK AS SHOWN ON THESE
DRAWINGS.
CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN A CLEAN AND
ORGANIZED CONSTRUCTION SITE.
OWNER TO PROVIDE ASBESTOS INVESTIGATION
REPORT OF EXISTING MATERIALS WITHIN PROJECT
SCOPE.
INSTALLATION OF POST INSTALLED ANCHORS IN
REINFORCED CONCRETE SHALL COMMENCE ONCE
REINFORCING BARS ARE LOCATED. EXTREME CARE
SHALL BE USED TO AVOID DAMAGING THE
REINFORCING. 1" MINIMUM CLEARANCE SHALL BE
PROVIDED FOR REINFORCING BARS AND 4"
CLEARANCE SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR PRE OR POST-
TENSIONED REINFORCING.
DESIGN AND SAFETY OF SHORING, BRACING, AND
TEMPORARY SUPPORTS IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY
OF THE CONTRACTOR.
FRAMING CONDITIONS NOT SPECIFICALLY SHOWN
SHALL BE FRAMED SIMILAR TO TYPICAL DETAILS AND
CONDITIONS.

ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE LIGHTING FIXTURE
MOUNTING KITS AS REQUIRED TO SUIT THE EXACT TYPE OF
CEILING TO WHICH THEY ARE MOUNTED.
THESE DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC AND REPRESENT THE
INTENT OF EQUIPMENT, DEVICES, ETC...TO BE CONNECTED AND
THE CIRCUITS TO WHICH THEY ARE TO BE CONNECTED TO.
CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL ALL CONDUIT, J-BOXES, ETC...AS
REQUIRED FOR A COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL SYSTEM.
ALL EXTERIOR EQUIPMENT SHALL BE WEATHERPROOF.
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM ALL WORK IN STRICT
ACCORDANCE WITH ALL LOCAL,STATE, AND NATIONAL

ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE NEW AND BEAR A "UL" LABEL - U.ON.
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE INCLUDED IN BID - COSTS
FOR ALL HVAC CONTROL COMPONENTS, CONDUITS, DEVICES,
ETC...AS DEEMED NECESSARY FOR A COMPLETE AND
OPERATIONAL HVAC SYSTEM. REFER TO MECHANICAL
DRAWINGS, DIAGRAMS AND SPECS FOR THOSE ITEMS REQUIRED
UNDER THE ELECTRICAL SECTION OF THIS CONTRACT.
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT SITE PRIOR TO BID DATE,
TO VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS TO BE ENCOUNTERED IN
THE INSTALLATION OF ALL NEW EQUIPMENT, FIXTURES,
DEVICES, FEEDERS, ETC...EXACT INSTALLATION METHOD AND
REQUIREMENTS SHALL BE VERIFIED AND DETERMINED PRIOR TO
BID DATE. CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THIS
ENGINEER OF ANY REQUIRED MODIFICATIONS WHICH ARE NOT
SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS. SUBMITTAL OF BID INDICATES
CONTRACTOR IS AWARE OF ALL JOB SITE CONDITIONS AND
WORK TO BE PERFORMED.
ALL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT CHARACTERISTICS, LOCATIONS,
AND CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS SHALL BE VERIFIED PRIOR TO
ANY ROUGH-IN WORK.
COMPLETE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHALL BE GROUNDED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRESENTLY ADOPTED EDITION OF THE

NOTIFY THE ENGINEER IMMEDIATELY WHEREVER EXISTING
EQUIPMENT IS ENCOUNTERED WHICH MUST BE RELOCATED DUE
TO THE NEW CONSTRUCTION, OR NOT INDICATED ON "AS-BUILT"
DRAWINGS OR WAS BURIED UNDERGROUND OR EMBEDDED IN
STRUCTURE WALLS.
RECEPTACLE OUTLET LOCATIONS SHALL COMPLY WITH NEC
210-52. THIS SHALL INCLUDE 120 VOLT, SINGLE PHASE, 15 AND
20 AMP RECEPTACLES INSTALLED IN BATHROOMS, GARAGES,
BASEMENTS, OUTDOORS, KITCHEN COUNTERS, AND WET BAR
SINKS HAVE GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER
PROTECTION.
GFCI RECEPTACLES SHALL BE LISTED TAMPER RESISTANT.
120 VOLT, SINGLE PHASE, 15 AND 20 AMP BRANCH CIRCUITS
RECEPTACLES SHALL BE PROVIDED BY A LISTED ARC FAULT
CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER, COMBINATION TYPE, INSTALLED TO
PROVIDE PROTECTION TO THE BRANCH CIRCUIT.
NON-METALLIC SHEATHING (ROMEX) SHALL BE CONCEALED
WITHIN CONSTRUCTION OR PROTECTED FROM PHYSICAL
DAMAGE.
PROVIDE AT LEAST 1 LIGHTING CIRCUIT FOR EACH 500 SQUARE
FEET OF LIVABLE FLOOR SPACE.
