Most Meaningful Elections
2024 Republican Primary
206,902 Voted
Only 35.3% of Registered Republicans
Only 20% of all registered voters
The Consequences
Everyone Joins the Republican Party
Special Interest Groups only need to influence a few voters
Creates Negative Incentives for Candidates
Candidates only to Republican primary voters
Focus on activating small base
Punishes coalition building
Rewards scorched earth politics
The Solution
Non-Partisan Top Four Open Primary
Instant Runoff (Ranked Choice Voting) General
The Benefits
Allows all Idahoans to participate fully
Rewards coalition building, not scorched earth politics
Removes need to vote for “lesser of two evils”
More debate and ideas
Returns Republican Party to its natural size
Requires special interest groups to speak to everyone
Avoids needs for “backroom deals” to avoid vote splitting
Election results will match the preferences of the voters
Removes incentive to mess with other party’s primaries
Allows Republicans to choose our candidate anyway we want
