RDO Equipment Co. Responsibilities:
The RDO Promise™-Uptime Guaranteed™ (Agreement) applies to any new or pre-owned John Deere machines that fall
within the basic manufacturer warranty program. Machine must be purchased from any RDO Equipment Co. location and
be located within RDO Equipment Co.’s Area of Responsibility (AOR) and within the continental United States. On
rental purchase options, the RDO Promise™ -Uptime Guaranteed™ begins at the time of initial rental delivery to the
Customer.
1.Guaranteed data connection for the life of the machine.
RDO Equipment Co. will ensure the machine’s telematics systems are connected, recording, and relaying
information, except as otherwise stated here-in. RDO Equipment Co. responsibilities include:
•Paying all subscription fees
•Ensuring all hardware is up-to-date and compatible at no cost to the Customer
2.Machine Health Monitoring through manufacturer-installed telematics for life of ownership.
a. 24/7 software alerting options as selected by Customer.
b.Proactive alert monitoring provided by trained team members during normal business hours (Monday
through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.).
c.Customer agrees that RDO Equipment Co. cannot and shall not be responsible for any claims, losses,
or damages to Customer in any way arising from any telematics machine notifications, or the absence
thereof. Preventative Maintenance monitoring is not included with this offer, but available for
customers who sign up for our Preventative Maintenance programs.
3.Extended store hours and extensive “on call” service provided by seasoned experts within one of the largest
John Deere dealer support teams.
4.Free annual inspection while in basic manufacturer warranty. RDO Equipment Co. will conduct a machine
performance inspection, including JDLink™ machine performance reports and an annual machine inspection
while under basic manufacturer warranty. It is the Customer’s responsibility to notify and schedule an inspection
at any RDO Equipment Co. location before the warranty expires. RDO Equipment Co. team member travel time
will be covered on a qualifying equipment inspection.
5.A four-hour guaranteed response time for warranty repairs.
a.The covered machine must be non-functioning or in a diminished capacity preventing it from
performing its intended functions as determined by RDO Equipment Co.
b.The response time guarantee is valid during normal store hours of operation, 8a.m. – 5p.m. Monday
through Friday, excluding holidays.

c. The Customer must identify the machine as an RDO Promise™-Uptime Guaranteed™ machine at the
time of call and the four-hour response guarantee will begin when the call is received by an RDO
Equipment Co. field service dispatcher and stop when the field technician has been dispatched to the
jobsite.
d. Calls received after-hours must be for a non-functional machine that is in use at the time of contact or
will be in use prior to the next available store hours. If the machine is not in use, response time will
commence from the time of store opening on the subsequent business day unless otherwise arranged.
e. Delays due to availability of parts or special arrangements with a customer do not qualify for the four-
hour guarantee.
f. Failure to respond within the guaranteed period will result in a credit of $100 per hour for each hour
the response is late, up to a maximum of $500.This credit will be applied to the Customer’s account
and can be used to offset charges for any RDO Equipment Co. document on the Customer’s account.
g. Not valid under acts of God, including but not limited to fires, weather conditions, labor
controversies, or causes beyond the control of RDO Equipment Co.
h. The guaranteed field service response time is only available during the lifetime of the basic
manufacturer warranty.
6. Free loaner equipment for basic warranty repairs beyond 48 hours. RDO Equipment Co. will make all
reasonable efforts to supply the Customer with a replacement machine if it is determined that the RDO
Promise™-Uptime Guaranteed™ machine cannot be returned to operating condition within 48 hours of:
• Technician’s arrival at the machine.
• The arrival of the machine at an RDO Equipment Co. facility.
a. The machine must be non-functioning or in diminished capacity preventing it from performing its
intended functions.
b. RDO Equipment Co. will provide a comparable machine, if available. If a loaner machine is not
available or the Customer will not accept an available machine, RDO Equipment Co.’s loaner
provision is waived.
c. The Customer is responsible for all transportation costs related to the free loaner.
d. Use of the free loaner is limited to 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and 160 hours per month. All
overtime usage will be charged to the Customer at the RDO Equipment Co. hourly overtime rate.
e. The Customer must agree to all the terms and conditions of the RDO Equipment Co. rental
agreement, including meeting minimum insurance requirements for use of the loaner.
f. The Customer is responsible for all wear parts, fuel, and regular maintenance required by the
manufacturer on the loaner machine.
g. Excludes the following production-class and technology equipment from the loaner options:
Excavators (470, 670, 870); Crawlers (950, 1050); Four Wheel Drive Loaders (744, 824,
844, 904, 944); Articulated Dump Trucks (260, 310, 410, 460); Forestry Equipment,
Wirtgen, Vogele, or Kleemann Equipment; Equipment Attachments; All technology
loaner equipment is available through Fleet Shield Services agreement.
7. Free travel time or hauling on warranty items during basic manufacturer warranty period.
Determination of RDO Equipment Co. team member travel time or hauling will be determined by
whichever RDO Equipment Co. deems appropriate.
8. Complimentary basic safety inspections. When contacted by Customer with an equipment safety concern, an
RDO Equipment Co. team member will provide a complimentary basic safety inspection.
9. Free loaner components for inoperable integrated technology products.
Loaner components are dependent on availability and compatibility.
(Example: positioning receiver)
10. Repairs made by RDO Equipment Co. using New Original Equipment Manufacturer Repair Parts covered
for 24 months/2,000 hours whichever occurs first.
Exceptions include but are not limited to cabling and Customer negligence.

11. Parts purchased from RDO Equipment Co. and installed by the Customer are covered for 12 months.
Exceptions include but are not limited to cabling and Customer negligence.
12. Basic equipment operation training sessions. An RDO Equipment Co. team member will provide this training
at the Customer’s request. The Customer is responsible for scheduling training through their local store.
a. An RDO Equipment Co. team member will be responsible for a thorough explanation of the machine
when the unit is delivered.
b. Available for equipment under basic manufacturer warranty.
c. Additional equipment operation training plans are available, upon request.
13. Free freight for warranty parts ordered from the manufacturer for repairs.
14. Aftermarket Original Equipment Manufacturer technology equipment carries the same guarantees as
RDO Promise™ ─ Uptime Guaranteed™ - Integrated Controls Agreement.
For all technology related equipment, please refer to the RDO Promise™ – Uptime Guaranteed™ -
Integrated Controls Agreement.
Customer Responsibilities
1. Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommended maintenance and preventive maintenance schedules must
be followed. These schedules may only be modified through mutual written agreement between the Customer and
RDO Equipment Co.
2. The Customer is responsible for all costs associated with the daily (10 hr.), weekly (50 hr.), and bi-weekly (100
hr.) maintenance and inspections as outlined in the respective machine operator’s manual and maintenance guide.
Oil changes from summer to winter and/or winter to summer weight oils outside of scheduled maintenance
intervals will be at the Customer’s expense.
3. Repairs and/or maintenance if caused by but not limited to abuse, vandalism, neglect, accident, fires, acts of God,
improper operation or operating conditions, substandard maintenance, or maintenance practices, weather
conditions, labor controversies, or causes beyond the control of RDO Integrated Controls. Repair, maintenance,
and/or replacement of include but is not limited to tires, undercarriage wear items on track type equipment,
ground engaging tools, paint, glass, and illumination devices. Repair/replacement of attachments is not included.
4. The machine may not be altered or modified in any manner which affects the mechanical operations as described
by the OEM without the written approval of the OEM and RDO Equipment Co.
5. The Customer is responsible for scheduling the components covered in this Agreement for routine maintenance or
overhaul (before failure) to minimize downtime and costs.
6. The Customer agrees to provide RDO Equipment Co. and its representatives with reasonable access to the above-
listed machine for the purpose of machine inspection, technical analysis, and repair and maintenance on a regular
basis. RDO Equipment Co. will make every effort to perform these services during times convenient to the
Customer.
7. The Customer agrees to use only genuine OEM parts for all maintenance and repairs performed by Customer
personnel. It is further understood that OEM standards will be observed regarding oils and grease.
8. The Customer agrees to shut down the machine if the Customer believes or is advised by an RDO Equipment Co.
team member that continued operation of the machine may result in further or imminent damage to the machine.

General Terms and Conditions
1. All fluids must meet all manufacturer specifications. The Customer understands and agrees that if the use of oils
that are not recommended by the manufacturer that this Agreement will be voided. It is also the Customer’s
responsibility to use quality fuel and that if a problem develops because of poor fuel this Agreement as it pertains
to that breakdown is voided.
2. Delays in furnishing service shall be excused if caused by but not limited to acts of God, fires, weather conditions,
labor controversies, or causes beyond the control of RDO Equipment Co.
3. If the machine covered in this Agreement leaves RDO Equipment Co.’s Area of Responsibility, RDO Equipment
Co. retains the right to terminate the guarantees contained in the RDO Promise™-Uptime Guaranteed™
Agreement.
4. This Agreement commences upon delivery of the machine to the Customer.
5. THIS AGREEMENT IS NON-TRANSFERRABLE.
