APPLICABLE CRITERIA: Idaho State Code §50-222 Annexation by Cities
AUTHORITY: §1.03.010 (A) “The Commission shall have the authority to consider and
recommend to the Council ordinances, amendments thereto, and repeal of
ordinances affecting zoning, planning, and building within the City of Rexburg”
Information to consider with this request:
• The property includes a business that currently
receives city services.
• The property is located off of 2nd E, to the
South of Moody Rd, within the Area of Impact
and is contiguous to city boundaries on three
sides.
• The annexation applies to approximately 30.45
acres.
• The Comprehensive Plan designation is
Industrial and the zoning is Light Industrial.
Neither the Comprehensive Plan designation
nor the zone will change at this time if the
annexation is approved.
• A total of 31 hearing notifications were mailed
to surrounding property owners.
• Staff asks that the Planning & Zoning
Commission consider recommending that City
Council approve the application.
