Audit, Crew, and Quality Control Inspecter. * Talk about hooking it to the furnace, taping over the registers, locating leaks. * Used for identifying leaks and can be used to make sure a gas water heater or furnace is drafting. * Tests the efficiency, Carbon monoxide, Carbon Dioxide * Used mostly by the energy auditor and the inspector * Talk about the CO & CO2 personal device that they wear into a house. * Built prior to 78 * E.I.C.A.P. Weatherization Provides Assistance to Eligible Low-income Households, in the Areas of Energy Conservation and Health and Safety Related Repairs. Funding The Department of Energy, Health and Human Services, Utility Companies, and Landlord Investments fund the program annually. The utility companies that we receive funding from include: Rocky Mountain Power - $250,000 Bonneville Power Administration $200,000 Idaho Power - $12,788 Idaho Falls Power - $150,000 Fall River Electric - $25,000 Landlord Investments We request that Owners of Rental properties contribute 20% of the estimated total cost to do the work on their home. Affordable Housing Program (AHP) 3 year - $250,000 grant. We will complete 14 Homes 75% Special Needs. (Disabled & Elderly) Handicap Accessibility. Roof Repairs and Replacement. Plumbing upgrades. Electrical upgrades. We work on all types of homes This is what we do This is what we find Weatherization Works! 81 Number of homes weatherized each year All the work is done by our own crews with the exception HVAC. AHP work is done by contractors. These are the tools we use: Blower Door-Helps identify leaks in the house. 3 tests on each house. Duct Blaster-Used to measure how leaky supply ducts are.
