HomeMy WebLinkAboutRe_ Grease Monkey Sign (2)Luke,
I was able to get in contact with Mr. Eberlin of UL Solutions. He verified that the listing on the controller also considers the modules to be listed (see attachment). The City of Rexburg
will now be able to accept this sign as a listed/approved sign. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we worked through this process.
Thanks again.

Mr. Mullins,
I wanted to reach out to you concerning the sign at Grease Monkey located in Rexburg, Idaho. This sign does not appear to be listed by an accredited laboratory. As per 600.3 of the
2017 National Electric Code, a sign must be listed and labeled (though the controller is listed, the sign must be as well). As you know, once a sign leaves your factory a listing sticker
cannot be applied. There are two methods to get a product listed. The first is for the sign to be sent back to your factory where you can go through it again and verify everything is
in correct order. Then the listing sticker can be applied to the sign and it can be sent back to Grease Monkey to be re-installed. The second is to have an accredited laboratory perform
a field evaluation. If you choose to get this product listed via a field evaluation, you can find a list of accredited laboratories at:
https://www.osha.gov/nationally-recognized-testing-laboratory-program/current-list-of-nrtls
I have cc’d Tyson Daniels with Grease Monkey and Bret Stoddard, City of Rexburg Building Official to this email in hopes that we can help in correcting this issue in a timely manner.
Feel free to contact me with any further questions.
