PROPOSED ZONING: Community Business Center (CBC)
AUTHORITY: §1.03.010 (A) “The Commission shall have the authority to consider and recommend to the Council
ordinances, amendments thereto, and repeal of ordinances affecting zoning, planning, and building
within the City of Rexburg”
Information to consider with this request:
• The properties are currently fields.
• The properties are located at
approximately 250 N 12th W and
North of 1022 W Main St.
• The request applies to 1 full parcel
and part of another parcel, totaling
34.06 acres. Parcel 1 consists of
16.25 acres; Parcel 2 consists of
17.81 acres of the 27.81 total
parcel acres (10 acres recently
changed to Commercial.)
• Mixed Use (MU) is zoned to the
South/Southwest. Community
Business Center (CBC) is zoned to
the South. Rural Residential 1
(RR1) is zoned to the West, and Medium Density Residential 1 (MDR1) and Transitional
Agriculture (TAG) are zoned to the North.
• A total of 35 hearing notifications were mailed to surrounding property owners.
• Staff asks that the Planning & Zoning Commission consider recommending that City
Council approves the application.
