MUIR Fee: 0.00 Ex-Officio Recorder Deputy RESOLUTION FOR AMENDING REXBURG COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP Resolution No 2024 - 04 WHEREAS, on the 17th day of April 2024, the City Council for the City of Rexburg was duly convened upon notice properly given and a quorum was duly noted; and WHEREAS, in a Rexburg Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on the 4th day of April 2024, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing, taking public comment for and against the proposal to amend the Comprehensive Plan Map. The public hearing ended with a unanimous vote to recommend the proposed Comprehensive Plan Map change to City Council; and WHEREAS, in a subsequent City Council meeting on the 1.7th day of April 2024, the City Council reviewed the findings from the Planning and Zoning Commission's Public Hearing held on the 4th day of April 2024; and WHEREAS, a comprehensive plan is a living document; an ongoing planning participation effort by the citizens of the community is encouraged to ensure changing conditions meet the needs of the community; and WHEREAS, proposed changes to comprehensive plan map can change land use designations; and WHEREAS, the following approved Land Use designation changes to the Comprehensive Plan Map from Intermediate Residential to Commercial at approximately 1040 West Main St (24-00146) in the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho and more particularly described as follows: Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment Legal Description_ SITUATED IN THE STATE OF IDAHO, COUNTY OF MADISON, BEING PART OF SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 39 EAST OF B.M., BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: COMMENCING AT THE WEST 1/4 CORNER OF SAID SECTION 24; THENCE NORTH 89°45'44" EAST, A DISTANCE OF ioo6.5o FEET ALONG THE EAST - WEST CENTER OF SAID SECTION 24 TO A REBAR WITH A PLASTIC CAP FOUND; THENCE SOUTH 00024'43" EAST, A DISTANCE OF 1,126.6o FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE NORTH 89°35'18" EAST, A DISTANCE OF 686.57 FEET TO A POINT; THENCE SOUTH oo0o8'o9" EAST, A DISTANCE OF 78.o8 FEET TO A POINT; THENCE SOUTH 05°50'o6" WEST, A DISTANCE OF 588.5o FEET TO A POINT; THENCE SOUTH 89050'21" WEST, A DISTANCE OF 622.16 FEET TO A POINT; THENCE NORTH 00°24'43" WEST, A DISTANCE OF 66o.36 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; CONTAINING 1o.00 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS WHEREAS, the changes shown on the Comprehensive Plan Map dated April 17, 2024.
