Question Question from Trevor Atkison Construction Solutions Company on Thursday, Oct 12, 2023 at 03:41 PM MDT
Page S3 calls for some blocked diaphragms at panel edges for (2) 4' and (2) 12' sections of the roof on the east side of the
building. I am not sure what this entails, and would like to know if there is a detail or drawing we can have to go through with
the framers?
On a similar note, I don't see anywhere that notes this, but are truss blocks required between the trusses on the exterior
walls?
Please advise as soon as you are able. We plan to set trusses the 17th, and start sheeting the following day.

A blocked diaphragm requires 2x flat blocking at all
unsupported sheathing edges not already supported by the
framing. Note that the plans also indicate the required nailing
at the sheathing edges for the blocked diaphragms.
See Detail 1/SD-2 where the trusses bear on the exterior
walls. A band of sheathing is required at the truss ends. Truss
blocks are not required.
