Subject: Rotary park
I'm writing concerning the plan to takeout our parka nd selloff the property for houses. I've lived in my
house in this neighborhood for nearly 30 years and to lose that park that we all use for kids, grand kids
and block parties and gatherings would be a travesty. I get that the city doesn't want to take care of it. The
water doesn't get turned on until it's about dead. It gets mowed 3 or 4 times a year and then it's just a
mess of dandelions. The broken fence has been that way for around 15 years. It's obvious why the city
wants to get rid of it. It's not because it doesn't get used, it's because they don't want the responsibility of
taking care of it.
Please let us keep our park. It's a park we can go to that hasn't been taken over by the college kids.
Making out in their hammocks and sunbathing half naked for the world to see. If you think it doesn't get
used YOU ARE WRONG. H
Some say you've already made up your minds and Thursday nights meeting is just"process" so you can
proceed with your plans.
Please listen to the people. Those who actually should have a say.
Thankyou,
Cammie Muir
