HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2001 - 04 ElectionAMENDED RESOLUTION No. 2001-04 A RESOLUTION PROCLAIN41NG A GENERAL CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 6, 2001, DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACES, DESIGNATING THE REGISTRAR AND DEPUTY REGISTRARS, AND ORDERING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH ELECTION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO, THAT: SECTION 1: The general city election will be held in and for the City of Rexburg, on the 6" day of November, 2001. The polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at which time there will be elected three Council Members to serve for a term of four years or until the election and qualification of their successors. SECTION 2: The following are designated as the polling places for such election: Seventh Precinct: Emergency Services - 26 N. Center Eighth Precinct: Adams School - 110 N. 2"d East Ninth Precinct: National Guard Annory - 330 W. 7"' South Tenth Precinct: Career Beauty College - 57 College Ave. Eleventh Precinct: Lincoln School - 358 E. 2"d South Twelfth Precinct: Stone's Town and Country - 615 So. Yellowstone SECTION 3: That Marilyn Rasmussen, County Clerk, is hereby designated as Registrar and Marilyn Wasden, as Deputy Registrar, with the following as Election Judges: Seventh Precinct: Eighth Precinct: Ninth Precinct: Tenth Precinct: Eleventh Precinct: Twelfth Precinct: Kathleen Orton Linda Flamm Terry Cardon Joan Brunson Janet Webster Dorena Ricks SECTION 4: The Clerk, for and on behalf of the Mayor and Council, shall give public notice of the time and place of holding such general city election by posting such notice in three public places or publishing such notice in at least two issues of the Rexburg Standard Journal, a newspaper printed and published in the City of Rexburg, Idaho, the first publication of such notice to be made not less than 45 days previous to the date of such city election and the last publication not less than 15 days prior to the election. The notice so published shall state the polling place in each precinct and the hours during which the polls shall be open for the purpose of voting, said notice to contain such information in accordance with the requirements of Section 50-436 of the Idaho Code.
