The Local Improvement District (LID) has been divided into two parts, the parking lot
and the replacement of concrete or asphalt from the alley to the back of the buildings.
The estimated costs of the parking lot improvements have been estimated at
approximately $500,000, of which, the City is paying approximately $439,035.25
through funds secured by a grant. The parking lot portion of the LID cannot be
constructed until the City comes to an agreement with AMET to construct part of the
new parking lot on their property just West of their building. A drawing of the
proposed plans for the parking lot have been included. On the installation of concrete
from the Alley to the back of the building, the concrete may be able to be replaced
with asphalt at a lower cost. Please contact City Hall with any futher questions
regarding these matters.
