HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2012 - 08 Amending Comp Plan Map 2020O� "fxYU4r CITY OF REXBURG Amei*4 Fam14, Community RESOLUTION FOR AMENDING VISION 2020 REXBURG COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP Resolution 2012 - 08 WHEREAS, on the 11`h day of 11gly, 2012, the City Council for the City of Rexburg was duly convened upon notice properly given and a quorum was duly noted; and WHEREAS, in a Rexburg Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on the 5th day of IOX, 2012, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing, taking public comment for and against the proposal to amend the Comprehensive Plan Map. The public hearing ended with a unanimous vote recommending the proposed Comprehensive Plan Map change to City Council; and WHEREAS, a comprehensive plan is a living document; an ongoing planning participation effort by the citizens of the community is encouraged to ensure changing conditions meet the needs of the community; and WHEREAS, proposed changes to comprehensive plan map can change land use designations; and WHEREAS, the following approved Land Use designation changes to the Comprehensive Plan Map are hereby set forth at approximately 245 West 1" North from Moderate -High Density Residential and Light Industrial to Neighborhood Commercial/Mixed Use and more particularly described as follows: Legal Description: A parcel of land situated in Madison County, Idaho, Township 6 North, Range 40 East, Section 19, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest Corner of Lot 3 Block 30 of the Original Townsite of Rexburg: thence N90°E 150.00 feet to the true point of Beginning; thence N00°E 330.00 feet to the South line of Lot 2 of said Block 30; thence S90OW 150.00 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Lot 2; thence N00°E 165.00 feet to the Northwest Corner of the South Half (S1/2) of said Lot 2; thence N90°E 110.00 feet; thence N00° E 82.50 feet; thence N900E 165.00 feet; thence N00°E 82.50 feet to the North line of said Block 30; thence N900 E 161.79 feet; thence S00° W 177 feet; thence N90° E 24.29 feet; thence S00° W 82.00 feet to the Westerly Right -of -Way line of the Oregon Short Line Railroad; thence S15°58'40"W along said Right - of -Way 228.09 feet; thence S30020'00"W along said Right -of -Way 135.23 feet to the East line of said Lot 3, Block 30; thence S00°00'00"W 13.86 feet to the Westerly Right -of -Way line of the Oregon Short Line Railroad; thence S30°20'00"W along said Right -of -Way 59.26 feet; thence S90°00'00"W for a Distance of 150.07 feet to the True Point of Beginning. WHEREAS, the changes shown on the Comprehensive Plan Map dated July 11, 2012 have been approved by the City Council; NOW THEREFORE, by resolution duly adopted on the date first above written, be it resolved by the Mayor and the City Council the following: The City of Rexburg does hereby accept and adopt the said Comprehensive Plan Map Land Use Designations in the City ofRexburg Vision 2020 Comprehensive Plan.
