Descriptions of general site characteristics and the proposed project are available in the previously issued Atlas Geotechnical Engineering Report (E222136g). Unless otherwise noted in this letter, all initial recommendations, limitations, and warranties expressed in the previous report must be adhered to. Atlas reviewed the Topo Map and Site Map provided by Mr. Hastings dated October 2022 and July 2022, respectively. Based on the subsurface conditions encountered during the investigation and the plans regarding the proposed development, the site is suitable for the planned construction. Based on the site plan, the descending slope to the west side of the structure is approximately 20 feet tall. Per Section 1808.7 of the 2018 IBC, for buildings constructed above slopes steeper than 3:1, the horizontal setback distance from the toe of the slope to the face of an upslope footing must be no less than 1/3 the vertical height of the total slope. Therefore, the 13-foot 6.25-inch setback on the west side of the structure and the 12-foot 7.125-inch setback on the north side of the structure meets the setback requirements of the 2018 IBC. If you have any questions, please call us at (208) 529-8242. 10/20/2022
