Resolution Amending the 2013 East Parkway Corridor Plan
City of Rexburg Resolution No 2023 - 08
WHEREAS, a safe and efficient transportation system is vital to the City of Rexburg, Sugar City
and Madison County;
WHEREAS, an important component of a safe and efficient transportation system is a
transportation plan;
WHEREAS, a joint and cooperative venture between the City of Rexburg, Sugar City, and Madison
County was established for these purposes;
WHEREAS, a document titled 2013 East Parkway Corridor Plan has been prepared;
WHEREAS, the 2013 East Parkway Corridor Plan will serve as an official document of the City
Council of the City of Rexburg, and that the plan, as it pertains to the City of Rexburg juriidiction,
serves as the official plan for transportation of the City of Rexburg;
WHEREAS, in a Rexburg City Council meeting on the 5`' day of April 2023, the Rexburg City
Council held a public hearing, taking public comment for and against the proposal to re -align the
East Parkway Corridor from the original plan mapping. The public hearing ended with a unanimous
vote to approve the 2013 East Parkway Corridor Plan proposed re -alignment;
WHEREAS, the following are approved changes to the 2013 East Parkway Corridor Plan to re-
align the East Parkway Corridor from Sunrise Dr down past Millhollow Rd and S Hidden Valley Rd
to Sunrise Dr past Autumn Dr to tie into E Th S;
NOW THEREFORE, the 2013 East Parkway Corridor Plan changes to the alignment of the East
Parkway Corridor, as it pertains to the City of Rexburg jurisdiction, have been ADOPTED By the
Mayor and City Council of the City of Rexburg on April 5, 2023.
