6. ALL HANGERS SHALL BE DESIGNED, SPACED AND INSTALLED AS PER NFPA-13, 2019 EDITION, CHAPTER-18. MAX LENGTH OF
UNSUPPORTED ARMOVERS SHALL BE 24" (PRESSURE LESS THAN 100 PSI).
7. SPRINKLERS LOCATED IN ACOUSTICAL GRID CEILINGS SHALL BE INSTALLED CENTER OF TILE OR QUARTER POINTS.
8. ALL ALARM SYSTEM WIRING AND INSTALLATION IS BY OTHERS. 24 HOUR SUPERVISION TO BE PROVIDED BY OTHERS.
9. OTHER CONTRACTORS TO PROVIDE PAINTING, WIRING, FIRE EXTINGUISHERS, HYDRANTS, THRUST BLOCKING, CITY WATER
CONNECTION, EXCAVATION, BACKFILLING AND SYSTEM MONITORING.
10. FLUSHING AND TESTING OF UNDERGROUND PIPING SHALL BE COMPLETED BY THE INSTALLING CONTRACTOR BEFORE
CONNECTION TO THE FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM.
11. ALL PENETRATIONS THROUGH FIRE RATED ASSEMBLIES SHALL BE FIRE STOPPED. FIRE STOPPING MATERIAL SHALL BE
INSTALLED PER MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTION BY OTHERS.
12. HYDRAULIC PLACARD SHALL BE POSTED ON RISER.
13. BUILDING OWNER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ADEQUATE HEAT (40ºF AND ABOVE) IN ALL WET PIPE AREAS TO PREVENT
SPRINKLER SYSTEM FROM FREEZING.
14. 3-D FIRE PROTECTION WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE SHOULD THE MINIMUM WATER FLOW VALUES NOT BE SUPPLIED AT THE POINT
OF CONNECTION OF THE HYDRAULIC SOURCE NODE.

40 FEET HIGH STORAGE OF CLASS I-IV COMMODITIES AND CARTONED, UNEXPANDED PLASTICS IN A 45 FT TALL BUILDING.
PROTECTED WITH K-25.2 ESFR FIRE SPRINKLERS PER NFPA 13 TABLE 23.5.1. MINIMUM 40 PSI AT HYDRAULICALLY MOST REMOTE
SPRINKLER WITH 12 SPRINKLERS FLOWING AND 250 GPM HOSE ALLOWANCE. SYSTEM REQUIRES 43.2 PSI (WITH BOOST FROM 90 PSI
AT 1500 GPM FIRE PUMP) WITH 1475 GPM FLOWING AT POINT OF CONNECTION TO PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM.
E.S.F.R. SYSTEMS REQUIRE SPECIAL CONSIDERATION REGARDING PLACEMENT OF LIGHTING, DUCT WORK, PROCESS PIPING,
ELECTRICAL CONDUIT RUNS, ETC. HYDRAULIC FLOWS AND HEAD PLACEMENTS ARE VERY CRITICAL AND ARE ASSUMED TO TAKE
PRECEDENCE. PIPING CAN NOT BE ROUTED AROUND OBSTRUCTIONS DUE TO INCREASED FRICTION LOSSES OR LOWERED FROM
ROOF STRUCTURE DUE TO PENDENT DESIGN ONLY AND REQUIRED 12" DEFLECTOR DISTANCE FROM ROOF DECK. IT IS
UNDERSTOOD THAT REQUIRED COORDINATION WITH ROOF STRUCTURE, JOIST PANEL POINTS, ROOF DUCTING, LIGHTING. AND
OTHER PIPING WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED TO ACCOMMODATE REQUIRED SPRINKLER SPACING. PROPER SPACING MUST ALSO BE MADE
