'-.Ll<..~-lb, J\....l'-'\.llV lilIO.D.BARNARD STIl.CO., IT.LOU" ORDINANCE NO. 347 AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION BILL OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1942; LEVYING TAXES FOR GENERAL REVENUE PURPOSES OF SAID CITY AND FOR INTEREST ON THE IDNDED INBEBTEDNESS AND FOR SINKING FUND: AND APPROPRIATING TO THE SEVERAL DEPART- MENTS, OFFICES AND FUNDS OF SAID CITY GEnRNMENT SUCH SUMS AS MAY BE NECESSARY, OR DEEMED NECESSARY, BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL, TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES AND,UABILITIES OF S1rID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR, 1942. BE IT ORDAINED By the Mayor and Council of the City of Rexburg, Idaho: SECTIONl.- This ordinance shall be and is hereby termed "The Annual Appropriation Bill of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, fo r the fiscal year 1942. SECTION 2.- There is hereby levied upon all the taxable property within the limits of the City of Rexburg, and subject ot taxation for city purposes, in a.rrl for the yeat 1942, taxes for the several purposes of said city government at the rates following: For general revenue purposes ten mills on each dollar of assessed valuation. For interest on outstanding bends of the city, and' for sinking fund to pay the maturing installments of such bonds, fifteen mills OIU each dollar of assessed valuation. SECTION 3.- The City Clerk is hereby empowered and directed to certify the foregoing levies to the prooer officers of Madison COunty, Idaho, for entry upon the tax rolls of said county for collection in the manner provided by law. SECTION 4.- The City Treasurer is hereby empowered and directed to apportion the moneys " received on account of taXes hereby levied, and from all other sourcex, to the several funds for which said levies are made am to which moneys are appropriated as in this ordinance proveded. SECTION %.- The r6'genues of the City of Rexburg for the fiscal year 1942 from all ~ sources received, are hereby appropriated to the several funds and purposes, which are hereby . declared to be necessary for such purposes as shown by the budget of the city hereto fore adopted for said fiscal year, respectively as follows, to-wit: A.- ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT, GENERAL EXPENSE FUND.- From moneys received on account of taxes levied, and other available sources there is hereby appropriated to the General Expense Fund. '1 Administrative Departm:lnt and Sundries, the sum of $8,997.39. B.- WATER DEPARTMENT.- From revenues d,erived from the water works syJtem of the city dur- . . ing the fiscal yea-r, 1942, and moneys now on hand in the water works fund, and other revenues available. ~here ~s hereby appropriated the amount necessary to defray the expenses of operation a and maintenance of said system during the fiscal year 1942, and from such revenues and for said purposes, there is hereby appropriated the sum of $10,492.85. C.- STRE~.DEPARTMENT.- From moneys received on account of taxas levied thereof, and other f revenues availablel there is hereby appropriated to the Streets Department of the City of Rexburg " for maintenance ait?-mprovenents for public streets, alleys, parks and public grounds, the sum of $8,435.99. l D.- POLICE DEPARTMENT.- From moneys received on account of taxes levied thereof, and other ~. sources available, there is hereby appropriated to the Police Department for the payment of salaries and other necessary expenses the sum of $3,757.92. E.- FIRE DEPARTMENT.- From moneys received on account of taxes levied thereof,' and other revenues availablel tnere is hereby appropriated to the Fire Department of the said city for the pa;ring of salaries and other expenses of ope~tion and maintenance the sum of $3,894.62. ,~ F .- IRRIGATION DEPARTMENT. - All moneys received from and on account of t he Irrigation System of the City of Rexburg, and the distribution of water thereby to the inhabitants of the City, .are hereby appropriated to the City Ditch Jund for the payment of salaries, wages and other ~.._____....,."".~_"1 . :.~ '\ ) / - ~~ ---.- ---~] - .---- -'''0' &.-...~&..'" necessary expenses of operation and maintenanc e of said irrigation system, and there is also hereby appropriated to the said ditch fund for such .pupposes from moneys not otherwise appro- priated the additional sum of $1,305.61. " SECTION 6.- This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and due publication as required by law.
