Ee it ORDAINED by the Hayor and City Council of the Ci ty of Rexburg, Coun;ty
of Madison, state of Idaho:
SECTION 1.
NO person shall use or keep for use in any public place in this
City any card table or card tables on which games of cards are played, without first
obtaining a license and paying a tax thereof as hereinafter provided.
SE('TI C}~ 2.
All applications for licenses contemplated by the preceeding
section shall be in writing and shall state the number and kind of tables to be used
and the place of keeping the same. Dpon the filing of such application with the City
Clerk and payment to the said city of the sum of ($3.00) Dollars per table on all

tables used, the amol.mt hereby fixed for such qua.rterly license, and the City Council
having granted such application, quarterly license shall be issued thereon.
SECTION 3. Any person violating any of the provisipns of this ordinance
shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in any sum less tha.n one hundred ($100.00)
Dollars or imprisonment not exceeding three months, or' both the fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and
after its passage and due publication required by law.
SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are
hereby repea.led.

SYSTlhI' IN REXBtTRG, HADISCN COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO, BY PROVI DING A ('HAHGE IN THE PRICE
OF TEE' APPLICAtION FOR A PERMIT FeR CONNECTIONS WITH SAID SEWER SYSTEM:

sect~on 1. That section 9 of ordina.nce No. 248 of sa.id ('i ty be amena.ed and
made to read a~ follows, to-wit:
sect~on 9. Applications for permit for sewer connections must be made in
, -iT1ttng by the 'owner of the premises, or his authorized agent, and must be accompanied
~y a plan, showing the cause of the connection, its size, and the size ~nd lecation
,of all branches to connected with it. The application and plan, together wi th the
fee of Three Dollars ($3.00) ehall be depoeited with the superintendent of the sewers,
which plan shall be examined by the superintendent of the eewers, and if in his judge-
I ment the carrying out of the plan will cause no injury to the street in which the
'sewer eought to be connected with is laid, or to the carrying out of improvements
proj ected, or which may thereafter be made on said street or prejudicia.l to the inter-
est of persons whose property has been or may thereafter be connected with the said
sewer and that the said plan in all things does conform to the ordin~nceB of this City,

then the application to connect with the sewer will be granted, subject to the provisions
of these ordinances. All sewer connections shall be put into line and grade desienated by
the City Angineer, who shall prepare a plat of each connection and file such plat in his

Whereas an emergency hereby and herewith is declared to exist, this ordinance is
therfore to take effect and to be in force from and after its passage, approval and due

WHEREAS. Heretofore and on the 9th day of April, ... p. 1920, there was passed and
approved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rexburg, ordinance No. 245, wherein
and whereby Lateral Sewerage Improvement Di.strie:t No. 2 of the Ci ty of Rexburg, was created
for the purpose of constructing a Lateral Sewerage system therein; and
WHEREAS, In pursuance of said ordinance and as required by the laws of the state
of Idaho, there was prepa~ed by the Mayor and City Council, together with the City Engineer

within said Lateral sewer~ge Improvement Distriet No.2, its proportionate share of the cost

WHEREAS, In fo~. time and manner, as required by law the City clerk did give notice
of the filing of said assessment roll, of the tim~ within which protests against the same
might be filed, and stating the time when and place where the City Council would meet to con-

"rT-1EREAS, at the time specified the City Council met for the purpose ,of co~sidering
protests against said assessment roll and as the City Clerk reported that no protests has
been filed the Council determined to confirm said assessment roll as orig,inally prepared by
the ~'ayor and City Council together with said City engineer and committee on streets; and
WHEREAS, Each and all of the proceeding in the making of the assessment for the cost
of the creation and organization of Lateral sewerage Improvement District No. 2 of the City
