plumbing in the house or building to be connected i8 in accordance with the provisions of
the building ordinance pertaining to plumbing, unless a special nermit for such connectiun
1s granted by the superintendent of sewers.
Sec. 19.
PENAL TY
Any peraon violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon
conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not exceeding One Hundred (.100) Dollars,
or in~riaonment in the City Jail for a neriod of not longer than thirty days, or by both
such fine and imprisonment for each and every violation of this ordinance.

Be it ordained by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rexburg, in the State
of Idaho, ~s follows:
L+' Section 1.
That there be and are hereby established tnree vehicle traffic
districts within the City of Rexburg to be known as 1'raffic District No.1, Traffic District
No.2, and T.raffic Dietrict No.3_
!- Section 2.
Tra.ffic District No. J. is composed of the territory included in Maia
Street in said City from the west side line of Firit West Street to the east side line of
Second East Street.

Main Street from the Oregon Short Line Railroa.d track east to the weat side line
of First West Street, and from the east side line of Second East Street to the east aide

~Seotion 5. That in Traffic District No.1 parking zone. for the parking of
automobiles and other motor vehicles are hereby established to be strips of Main Street
thirty-six feet in width, being eighteen feet on either side of the center line of sa.id
street, running longitudinally with the length of said street, such parking zones to extend
between the following points:
The Parking zon~s on Main Street between blooks 32 and 39 are as follows:
First zone commencing at a point in the oenter of Main Street on the east side
line of First West Street thenoe running east a distance of three hundred. and fifteen feet.
Seoond zone commencing at a point in the center of Main Street on the west side
line of Central Avenue, thenoe running west a distance of three hundred and fifteen feet.
The parkipg zonee on Main Street between blocks 33 and 38 are as r.11'.a::
First zone co~ncing in the center of said street at a point on the east side
line of Centra.l AVftnue, thence running eaat a distance of three hundred feet.
Seoond zone commencing at a point in the center of said street on the west Bioe
line of First East Street, thence running ....t a distanoe of three hundred .r.et..
The Parki,ng zones on Main Street 'between blocks 34 and 37 are as follows:
First zone oommencing at a point in the oenter of said street on the east side line
of First East Street, thenc~ running east a distance of three hundred and fifteen feet;
Second zone commencing at a point in the center of said street on the west side
line of First East Street, thence running east a distance of three hundred and fifteen feet.

No automobile or rootor vehicla, or any vehicle of any kind or nature
shall ftto!, at any 'Point on Ma.in Street wi thin Traffic District No.1, 'mless in case of
emergenoy to allow another vehiole or pede6tri(~n to pass, except within such parking zone,
and exoept as otherwise herein provided. Any peroon desiring to leave an automobile or

~~tor vehicle standing within Traffic District No.1 shall ~ark such automobile or motor va-
hicle by plaoing the same within one of the parking zones hereinbefore described at right
angles with the curb of said street, ~nd not within ten feet of a street crossing. Any
pernon moVing an outomobile or motor vehicle out of such parking zone shall move forward
and to the left and enter the stream of traffic on that side of the street into which he
moves, and no person moving an automobile or motor vehicle out of any parking zone shall
back such vehicle over the line of the parking to the rear of hiB vehicle. Anyone desiring
to load or unload passengers wi thin Traffic District No. 1 may stop hifJ vehiole at the curb
and parallel therewith and as close thereto as he oonveniently can, and may remain at the
curb for that purpose for a period of not to exceed ti~ee minutes, Any person desiring to
sUDply his automobile or motor vehi~le with gas. oil or air within Traffic Distriot No.1

Section 9.
Patrul, Police Ambulance, Fire Patrol, Fire Engines and Fire
apparatus shall in all ca.ses with due regard to the safety of the !,ublic. have rivht of
way, but this sha.ll not protect the owner or driyer of any such vehicle from cvnsequences
in the arbitrary exercise of this right or for injurit'ls wilfUlly afflicted.

from one street into another street in the Ci ty of Rexburg, Idaho, shall turn as near the
right hand curb a.s D08s1b1e. In tUI'ni:1g tu the left on the same street, or into anot~ler
street, the driver of said vehicle shall ~eep to the right of the center of the intersect-
ion of the two .treets, and also keep to the right of the center of the na.ved strent
crossings betweon parked zones in the center of Main Street.

Persons desiring to stop any vehicle on the left hand side of any
street or avenue in the City of Rexbur~, Idaho, ahall go to the intersection of the street
or avenue, or to the paved street, crossing be tween parked zones on Main ~/t:eet, a.nd r.lake
the turn at sa-in intersection or "paved street crossing for the purpose of crossintl the
street.
Sa ction 12.
No person shall drive or permit to be driyen or ride any vehicle
by the aide of any other vehicle or vehicles on any street or avenue in the City of Rexbu~

Idaho, longer than is necessary to pass such vehicle or vehi~leB, and in no caBe shall
such p&Bsage be at any street intersection or street crossing.
Section 13.
It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to back such
vehicle out of any public garage or across any side walk, street intersection or street
crossing in the City of Rexburg, Irlaho, at more than three miles ~er hour.

owners and occupants of adjacent property to keep such publi.c thoroughfare free from and
remove all obstructions herein specifip.d, or others that in any manner tend to r>revent the
use of such thoroughfares by pedestrians or vehicles, where such obstructions COHle frum or
accumulate upon such a.djacent premises.
Sect.ion 24.
Any person violating any of the proviSions of this ordinance shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine
of not more than one hundred dollars I ann in default of the pa;yrnent thereof, shall be
imprisoned in the city ,jail ~t the rata of one day for eacL two dollars of the fine im1Josecl.
Section 25.
