You are going to double check to see if the entire run could be reduced to 6” and still provide the required fire flow. Since there isn’t a practical way to loop this line it will be a dead end installation. We would appreciate it if you can show the new water line on your road drawings and tell the contractor to coordinate with our water line installation. I will have our civil engineer send you his revised cad file. We will be sending our responses to all of Joel’s plan review comments in the next day or two as soon as we have all our responses finalized. Attached is our revised grading plan showing proposed grading revisions on the park property to the west of our project. We propose to remove the trees and debris and fill in the gully. We would start 60’ west of the property line and slope up at 5% to our property line. Towards the south we would transition to the low landscape block retaining walls so that the soccer field grades will remain as is. The best thing about doing this is the end of the new north sidewalk will be at the new grade instead of 4’-5’ above the deepest part of the gully.
