As discussed, since you cannot maintain a 6 foot separation between
mains, the use of HDPE pipe, with no joints and is water-tight, is
acceptable.

Subject: Rexburg Windsor Manor Sleeve Question
Greg,
The City of Rexburg has asked me to get a response in
writing on the question that I had a week or so ago on the sanitary
sewer being sleeved or being able to use HDPE pipe without any joints
between the manholes. From our phone conversation you were ok as long
as they did not have any joints between the manholes and that they kept
the sanitary sewer line as far away from the potable line as possible.
This is in rocky soil so the alignment of the pipe was blasted out. The
water and the sewer line ended up approximately 3 feet apart. Could you
send me a email back with your response?
Thanks.
