The infiltrator was designed to handle a 25-year storm event without accounting for infiltration. The 100-year storm event will stay on site (in infiltrator with possible slight ponding in parking lot) with infiltration taken into account during the event. The geotechnical report done by MTI stated that the existing material can infiltrate up to 12 in/hr, but recommended a design rate of 8 in/hr. We based our design on a rate of 4 in/hr. All piping and structures will be able to accommodate additional stormwater flows from the east lot. For further questions feel free to contact either Leith or myself.
