SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 2 NORTH, RANGE 37 EAST OF
THE BOISE MERIDIAN, MADISON COUNTY, IDAHO
VICINITY MAP
1. SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS FOR THIS WORK SHALL BE PER CITY OF REXBURG STANDARDS AND ISPWC STANDARDS. THE DETAIL DRAWINGS HEREIN
SUPPLEMENT THE CITY OF REXBURG STANDARDS.
2. BED PIPE IN NATIVE MATERIAL FREE OF ROCKS LARGER THAN 1 INCH IN DIAMETER AS BEDDING. IF ROCKS LARGER THAN 1 INCH ARE PRESENT, USE CRUSHED
AGGREGATE OR SAND AS APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER.
3. ALL DISTANCES AND DATA SHALL BE CHECKED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO BID. IN CASE OF CONFLICT THE ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY SO
THAT CLARIFICATION MAY BE MADE PRIOR TO THE START OF WORK.
4. ELEVATIONS SHOWN ARE TO FINISHED SURFACE OR PIPE INVERT UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN AND PROTECT OR REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL LANDSCAPING, TREES, UTILITIES, DITCHES, CULVERTS, FENCES, MAILBOXES,
SIGNS, LIGHTPOLES, HEADGATES, AND ALL OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. ANY DAMAGE DONE BY THE CONTRACTOR TO EXISTING STRUCTURES TO REMAIN,
SHALL BE REPAIRED AT CONTRACTORS EXPENSE.
6. GENERAL LOCATIONS AND SIZES OF EXISTING UTILITIES ARE SHOWN ON THE PLANS. THEY ARE TO BE USED FOR GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY. IT IS THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANIES WHEN CONSTRUCTION MIGHT INTERFERE WITH NORMAL OPERATION
OF ANY UTILITIES. IT SHALL ALSO BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANY FIELD-LOCATE ANY EXISTING UTILITIES
WHICH MIGHT BE AFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK IN THAT AREA. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING
SERVICE OF EXISTING UTILITIES AND FOR RESTORING ANY UTILITIES DAMAGED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING SOURCES FOR GRANULAR MATERIAL, DISPOSAL SITES, AND ANY ADDITIONAL MATERIALS THAT MAY
BE NECESSARY FOR PROPER CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT.
8. IT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR WATER REQUIRED FOR TESTING, COMPACTION AND DUST CONTROL
MEASURES.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE REQUIRED TRAFFIC CONTROL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LATEST EDITION OF THE MANUAL OF UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL
DEVICES.

2.ALL WATER MAIN PIPE IN CITY ROW IS TO BE DUCTILE IRON PIPE. POTABLE WATER SERVICE LINE PIPE IS TO BE ONE INCH AWWA C-901
CLASS
200 SDR 7 IPS PE (UNLESS SHOWN OTHERWISE). CONSTRUCT WATER SERVICE CONNECTIONS PER ISPWC DETAIL SD-401 INCLUDING METER
BOX, PIPING AND FITTINGS UP TO BUT NOT INCLUDING THE WATER METER.
3.MINIMUM COVER OVER WATER LINES IS 6 FEET.
4.THRUST BLOCKS SHALL BE PLACED AT ALL DIRECTION CHANGES IN THE PRESSURE PIPE PER THE 2008 ISPWC DETAIL SD-403. PROVIDE
TEMPORARY CAPS AND TEMPORARY END THRUST BLOCKS AT ALL TEMPORARY WATERLINE TERMINATION POINTS AS REQUIRED DUE TO
PHASED DEVELOPMENT.
5.ALL FIRE HYDRANTS TO BE WATEROUS WB 67-250, PAINTED RED, INSTALLED WITH A KOCHECH MODEL SZ MC 5045-3-7-Y STORZ FITTING
AND CAP.
6.FIRE HYDRANTS SHALL HAVE TWO 2-1/2" DIAMETER HOSE NOZZLES, AND ONE 4-1/2" DIAMETER HOSE NOZZLE.
7.COORDINATE ALL METER INSTALLATIONS WITH THE CITY OF REXBURG.
8.WATER PIPE MUST HAVE A MINIMUM SEPARATION DISTANCE OF 10' HORIZONTALLY AND 18" VERTICALLY FROM ANY SANITARY SEWER OR
STORM SEWER MEASURED FROM THE EDGE OF EACH PIPE AS OUTLINED IN THE ISPWC 2008 STANDARD DRAWINGS SD-407.
9. COORDINATE LOCATION OF WATER METERS FOR SPRINKLING SYSTEM WITH OWNER'S SPRINKLER IRRIGATION PLAN.
10.CONSTRUCT WATERLINES TO 5' OUTSIDE PHASE LIMITS. PLACE TEMPORARY BLIND FLANGE AND THRUST RESTRAINT AT TEMPORARY END.
IF MECHANICAL THRUST RESTRAINTS ARE USED (SUCH AS EBAA IRON MEGALUGS) RESTRAIN 3 PIPE BELL JOINTS FROM THE TEMPORARY
END. MARK END CAP LOCATION WITH A POST.
11. USE HOT TAP CONNECTIONS PER CITY OF REXBURG STANDARDS.
12. TEST, FLUSH, AND DISINFECT CONSTRUCTED PIPE PER THE 2008 ISPWC SECTIONS 401.3.6 AND 401.3.9.
13. COMPLY STRICTLY TO MANUFACTURER INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS IN REGARDS TO PULLED JOINTS ON THE WATERLINE WORK. USE
STANDARD ELBOWS WHEREVER POSSIBLE IN LIEU OF PULLING JOINTS EVEN IF THE JOINT PULLS ARE WITHIN MANUFACTURE INSTALLATION
TOLERANCES.
14. ALL WATER PIPES SHALL INCLUDE ALL APPURTENANCES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TEES, VALVES, ETC....
15. WATER METERS SHALL BE INSTALLED PER CITY OF REXBURG STANDARDS (BY OTHERS).
1. ALL SANITARY SEWER MAIN LINE PIPING IS TO BE ASTM D-3034 SDR 35.
2. ALL STORM SEWER PIPING IS TO BE ADS N 12 HDPE S65 RIBBED PIPE.
3. ALL SEWER SERVICES TO EACH BUILDING ARE TO BE 4 IN. SDR 35 PVC UNLESS SHOWN OTHERWISE. ALL SANITARY
SEWER SERVICES SHALL EXTEND 15 FEET INTO THE PROPERTY AND BE MARKED WITH A 2x4
4. GRADE ALL FINISH SURFACES AWAY FROM MANHOLE LIDS.
5. TEST GRAVITY SEWER PIPE PER ISPWC SECTIONS 501.3.4.
6. CONSTRUCT ALL SANITARY SEWER MANHOLES PER ISPWC 2008 STANDARD DRAWINGS SD-501.
7. ALL PIPE BEDDING TO BE CONSTRUCTED PER ISPWC 2008 STANDARD DRAWINGS SD-301 & SD-302.
8. ALL SANITARY SEWER SERVICE LINES ARE TO BE CONSTRUCTED PER ISPWC 2008 STANDARD DRAWINGS SD-511,
SD-511A, AND SD-512.
9. DO NOT ALLOW MORE THAN 12" OF GRADE RINGS ON MANHOLES BEING RAISED.
10. PRESSURE SEWER SHALL BE ANSI/AWWA C900 CLASS 200 DR14 PVC PIPE OR APPROVED EQUIVALENT. PLACE
THRUST BLOCKS ON ALL BENDS, ELBOWS, & TEES.
11. INSTALL AIR RELIEF VALVES AT HIGH POINTS IN PRESSURE SEWER TO PREVENT AIR LOCKING.
12. LEAK TEST PRESSURE SEWER ACCORDING TO SECTION 401.36 AND 505.33 OF ISPWC.
13. PRESSURE SEWER JOINTS WILL COMPRISE FACTORY INSTALLED GASKETS CONFORMING TO ASTM-F477 AND
BELL AND SPIGOT ENDS OR APPROVED EQUIVALENT.
