This book is divided into two sections. The first describes who we are, our mission,
and values. The second contains our visual brand elements. Together these make
up our brand. Our brand is more than visual style, it is something we live and our
community becomes a part of. Welcome to Rexburg. Welcome to the Family.

We believe in families…
This city is special because we
believe in families, and in the
goodness found within people.
People, working together and with
a just cause or purpose are the
most powerful force for positive
impact and change in our world.
In Rexburg we call our neighbors
our family and we share common
“family values” that build strong
and healthy communities.
We believe that a city government can
embody and empower the goodness of
family values, and one that is founded
on these values can be one of the most
powerful vehicles in today’s world to leave
a lasting positive impact in our city and
society. Rexburg is a place where all
families, regardless of their makeup
or structure can thrive. We show love,
concern, and respect for our children,
youth, adults, and the elderly. Rexburg
desires to create a city where all have a
place, where all are welcome, safe, and
valued. Rexburg is family and that is
why it is such a great place to live, work,
and play.
Sincerely,
Jerry Merrill

REXBURG BRAND GUIDELINES | REV 1.2 OUR LOGO | 6
It’s in the logo.
They say it’s all in the details. We couldn’t agree more.
Here are a few details about the logo you should be
aware of:

Families come in all shapes and sizes
Rexburg is family including our single residents, couples
without, and couples with children. We see everyone
as part of our city family. The family is above the name
of our city to show the emphasis we place on and the
importance of the family. The overlapping shapes help
to communicate the interdependency we have on each
other as well as the values we share. We are stronger
together and its our differencences as much as our
similarities that give us strength.
We are friendly and confident
Our name is set in all caps to communicate confidence
and has rounded corners and simple shapes that are soft
and friendly. Rexburg is confident in who we are and the
values we embrace, but also open and accepting of the
goodness all people have within them.
Emphasis on the “Family”
Our tagline is “America’s Family Community”. We’ve
italicized the word Family to emphasize its importance
to each of our departments within the City. We are a
government agency that supports our City family or all
those that live, play, and work here in Rexburg.
A legacy of goodness and strength.
Rexburg has a long history of good people doing good
for each other. We have weathered many different
storms by staying true to the family values our city was
established and built upon. D

Dear Ms. Property:
I hope that you are doing well. My name is Lydia Lease, and I am an aorney at Sell
Your House, Inc. I am writing in regards to a parcel of land located at 225 Parcel St.,
Richmond, VA. My client, Mrs. Tabitha Land, is running into some diculties in
selling her property that is apparently still under lease by your organization.
This parcel of land (100 by 300 ) is located at the back of my client's property.
According to the city records, the lease was initiated in September 2001 and never
terminated. Aer calling your lease oce, it appears that you no longer make use of
this property. In order for my client to be able to sell her property, the lease must be
cleared. This parcel of land is still under your organization's name. I have aached
the documents describing the lease and ask that you clear your name from this
property as soon as possible.
My client is wishing to put her property on the market by April 2009. In order to do
so, this parcel of land must be cleared from your organization's hold. I have enclosed
the city's 1" documents concerning the ownership of this land as well as termination
documents for your use. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel
free to contact me at (123) 456-7890. I look forward to working with you to resolve

AUGUST 2022
Mayor’s Message:
I hope you have had a good summer so far. Celebrating the freedom we have in this country on Independence Day
and our wonderful Pioneer heritage on July 24th were great events!
August always seems like a month of getting some vacation in before summer ends and then preparing for school to start. There are some fun events coming up for your family to enjoy. On Friday Aug. s'ht,h e monthly "First Friday" Art Stroll will happen. This is a combination of art displays, recitals, live music, etc. to feature and recognize local talent. The "stroll" part is because there will be things happening at the Romance Theater and the Tabernacle and even in between those venues you might see dierent art or artists as you stroll from one building to the other. We also have the Don Ricks Legacy Art Collection on display in the hallway at City Hall. This features many of the works of Rexburg's own Don Ricks and several of his Son's works as well. It is a magnificent collection. Please come by and see it. The Art Stroll runs from 5-8 pm every first Friday of the month. Please come and see what's happening in the art scene here in Rexburg.
The Rexburg Cultural Arts department is also featuring "Arts in the Park" every Monday evening thru Aug. 15th and "A Summer Romance" every Wednesday evening thru Aug. 17'h at The Romance Theater. These are free events that feature many of our wonderful local artists sharing their talents with us. Come join us and you'll see what I mean.
Our Recreation department will be running a "Cornhole Tournament" on Sat. Aug. 27th from 4-6 pm. We had a small tournament at my recent family reunion and it was a lot oun. You can sign up as a single competitor or as a doubles team. Go to Rexburg.org and type Cornhole Tournament into the search bar and it will take you to the registration page. Location is TBD depending on the weather.
We will also be holding a Labor Day weekend (can't believe I'm saying that already!!) Pickleball Tournament. Go to Rexburg.org recreation to find details and sign up. Get out and have some fun today!
Our Madison County Fair will take place on Aug. 15th-20th at the county fairgrounds. Always lots of good food and fun to be found there.
You can enjoy seeing the fruits of the hard work that the 4-H kids did all year with their animal and other projects and many other fun events. Don't miss it!!
We really do have a special place here in Rexburg and Madison County and I hope we can all appreciate it and work to preserve it. I want to send a shout-out to the Sons oft he Utah Pioneers for their annual Appreciation Fireside last Sunday evening. They honored the first responders of our community which was a well-deserved recognition for our current and former Police Ocers, Fire Fighters and Emergency Medical
Technicians. The SUP is a great group that helps recognize and preserve our history. They are looking for new members that are interested in helping with that. You can find their website easily with a web search to get in touch with them.
I was talking with one of the Lunch Ladies from Madison High at the SUP meeting. We were talking about what a great place we live. She commented that at their conference some of their colleagues from other places were saying how they didn't know how much longer they could take working
because the kids were so rude and disrespectful to them. Then she commented, "I couldn't believe it because we LOVE our kids ..... they are so fun I" That is a tribute to good parents who teach respect and kindness for others in your homes. (And to some great and FUN Lunch Ladies!) Please keep it up! Loving and serving one another is the key and I thank you so much for all the service that each of you do here in Rexburg. Working together we can keep Rexburg the
wonderful place that it is.
Thank you so much for making Rexburg a great community!
Sincerely,
Mayor Jerry Merrill
