Initial Site Options Evaluation:•The North Option was eliminated as the space
available was inadequate compared to the size
of the proposed recreation center
•South & East Options were deemed to be more
viable in terms of impact to the existing park,
indoor/outdoor potential, access, and visibility

constraints, but some of the layout and adjacency
concepts were utilized in other plan refinement

advancement and were adapted based on
programming feedback from the Core Team

•Location of the spaces before/behind the main
lobby control desk
•Adjacency and openness between spaces
•Physical / visual connectivity
•Ease of patron use, access, and flow
•Appropriate staffing / monitoring
•Potential for spaces to be closed to allow for
other events and/or setup to occur without
shutting down other program areas
•Good access to support spaces and storage to
optimize staffing level and reduce expenses
