Observations/ Remarks 7:30-8:30 Densities When we first arrived at the job site we observed that the area to have densities taken had been worked more with more water. We took densities in two places and observed that the compaction spec was met. 8:30-10:30 Concrete Placement We observed that the area to be poured was a sidewalk. We waited until the concrete truck had poured approximately 10% of the load of the concrete truck. We then grabbed our sample and ran our concrete tests and observed that the air content of the concrete was within spec, but the slump was out of spec as it was higher than allowed. We informed the contractor of the results and they chose to continue the pour. We then made our cylinders and left them where they would not be disturbed. We left the site at approximately 10:15 AM. Items observed are in general conformance with approved project documents and jurisdictional requirements.
