NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE ZONING
MAP FOR THE CITY OF REXBURG
Public Hearing: May 19, 2022 at 6:30 P.M. to be held before the Rexburg Planning and Zoning
Commission at 35 N 1st E, Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho (#22 00092) to rezone approximately
302 W 3rd N from Low Density Residential 2 (LDR2) to Medium Density Residential 2 (MDR2)
zone in the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho.
Legal Description:
Tract 2 -1.37 Acres
Situated in the State of Idaho. County of Madison, being part of Lots 1 & 2, Block 7, Rexburg
Townsite, part of Section 19, Township 6 north, Range 40 east, of B.M., being more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the west ¼ corner of said Section 19; Thence north 89°44'51" east, a distance of
1,481.59 feet along the east- west center of said Section 19 to a point; Thence south 00°15'03" east, a
distance of 160.62 feet to the point of beginning;
Thence along the south bank of the Rexburg Canal the following seven (7) courses:;
1. North 86°30'06" east, a distance of 47.52 feet to a point;
2. South 85°43'01" east, a distance of 102.88 feet to a point;
3. North 83°33'53" east, a distance of 107.19 feet to a point;
4. North 81°34'00" east, a distance of 33.09 feet to a point;
5. North 75°36'48" east, a distance of 94.42 feet to a point;
6. North 81°44'50" east, a distance of 69.49 feet to a point;
7. North 78°44'57" east, a distance of 29.34 feet to a point;
Thence south 00°15'08" east, a distance of 65.21 feet to a point; Thence south 89°44'55" west, a
distance of 99.00 feet to a point; Thence south 00°15'06" east, a distance of 120.00 feet to a point;
Thence south 89°44'55" west, a distance of 379.50 feet to a point; Thence north 00°15'03" west, a
distance of 136.06 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.37 acres of land, more or less.
At such hearing the Planning and Zoning Commission will hear all persons and all objections and
recommendations relative to such proposed permits. The City Clerk will also accept written
comments at City Hall prior to 4:00 p.m. on May 18, 2022. This notice is given pursuant to the
provisions of Section 67-6508, 67-6509 and 67-6511 Idaho Code, and all amendments thereof.
