- Annex portions of the country into the city (4)
- Avoid annexing prime agriculture areas

- Give farmers incentives to keep farming
- Let the county manage it (3)
- Make a long term Planned system (2)
- Make trailer parks stay within city limits
Give P &Z impact zone and county some teeth
Planning and zoning should have some control
Create zoning ordinance to control junk piles, trailer houses,

- Schools
- Educate the public on the community's successes and failures as well as the
other surrounding communities. Show us what the long term plan is.

any housing.

Don't wait the city down with debt and expenses
Covenants for new developments and be strictly enforced
without changing in the future
The city should purchase the land north of the Tabernacle and
east of Taco Bell before it is developed. It would be a perfect
location for a fountain-Gazebo. The city could have Fanners
Market's there.
Neighborhood Covenants, not city driven
Strengthen downtown
Round-a-bouts
Separate Apartments from Single Family Housing
Upkeep of store fronts
Trees and flowers (2)
Downtown revitalization
Quit bringing in so called "experts"
Property Rights
19. Do you feel Rexburg's current city Ordinances protect your property
rights?
Yes 35 No 31
- The city is being nit picky on little things and over looking more
important bigger issues. I don't feel that the city is business
friendly.
- No P& Z's have any power. If we elect them give them some
power to help us.
The air port is in a bad location. As more and more housing is
going in directly under the flight path it is not safe -especially
when crop dusters are so low and accidents in taking off and
landing could end up in someone's front room.
No, the city wants to break its contract with our neighborhood by
forcing us to get curbs, sidewalks, and wider streets. This will
take away from my property. I am against it!
We need to have non -amendable certain areas.
The city tries to control personal property
If they are enforced by on many occasions they aren't.
I feel the city needs to be more respectful of homeowner's
property value, integrity of landscaping etc. before they barge
into city -owned easements.
Single family residential areas are not protected from
commercial development- for example; homes near the hospital
need to be protected from additional professional offices.
No, zone changes and annexations are forced
I'm afraid some business or developer will convince the city
council to allow commercial, Industrial or High density Housing
to boarder my subdivision. It seems that whoever wines long
enough or loud enough gets anything hey want. Also long term
economic development should be considered not just short term.
The mayor seems to have his own agenda for "his town" not "our
town."
Yes, but there is always room for improvement
No design standards, the zoning designation are too broad.
