I would just like to let you know how pleased I was at the outcome of the open meeting, held Dec. 2. 2021, concerning
the proposal to re-zone the property located at 154 North 4th East. It was discussed and, after a unanimous decision
from our city council, decided to remain at LDR 2- low density residential status.
The city council said that this would set a precedence for other low density residential areas in which apartments and
high density housing would be out of place and not fitting in with the rest of the neighborhood. We realize that as
Rexburg continues to grow, more housing will be needed, but more residential homes are just as important, if not more
important,than apartment complexes.
Again,thank you for letting us retain the zoning of LDR 2 in our area!
