My family has been part of this community since the founding of Rexburg, and the area where I live is named for my family. (Garner Addition) I attended the planning and zoning meeting that was held on December 1st, where the commissioners voted unanimously to recommend no changes to the zoning for this LDR2 zone. They voted on the recommendation, based on the fact that a change to MDR2 would not fit into the community and this area as currently laid out and constituted. It has come to my attention that once again Mr. Einersen is requesting a change of the zoning but this time to LDR3. While this may not seem like a big change it still can bring unwanted changes to the area that for the most part with the exception of a small 4 plex and a duplex across the street remains a single family residence area of Rexburg. I fear that changes to this zoning to LDR3 will have long lasting impacts on this area and the surrounding blocks. Therefore I want it registered that I am against any change in zoning for the block bordered by: 1st N on the South, 4th E on the West, 2nd North on the North and Madison Ave on the East.
