On Thursday, November 18 a proposal will come before the Rexburg Planning and Zoning
Commission to evaluate the request from Mitch Neibaur to grant Mixed Use Zoning to the
Rexburg West Division II property.
As you know, we have already brought the same request before P&Z for Division I and now it
will go before the City Council.
I am absolutely in favor of granting Mixed Use designation to the Rexburg West Division II
request. I want you to know that I have no financial or organizational ties to this property at
this time. I know that Mitch has devoted much time and effort to make sure that his Division II
project ties in seamlessly with what we are proposing with the Division I property. We are all
committed to make both projects visually stunning and congruent.
As we look at the Master Plan for Rexburg, it shows that area already slated for Mixed Use.
Therefore, both of our projects fit the future scope of what the community leaders of Rexburg
have envisioned.
Growth is coming to Rexburg and our plan is to have the foresight to make this whole project
one that will become a center place for commercial and residential growth. Both of which will
benefit the city of Rexburg as well as generate tax revenue to support the medical and
educational needs of a growing city.
