CONSTRUCTION AND THE CITY OF REXBURG'S REVISIONS. 2. PIPE MATERIAL FOR THIS PROJECT SHALL BE: DUCTILE IRON CLASS 50 SANITARY SEWER SDR 35 3. MINIMUM COVER OVER WATER LINES IS 5 FEET, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED ON THESE PLANS. 4. ALL DISTANCES AND DATA SHALL BE CHECKED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION. IN CASE OF CONFLICT THE ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY SO THAT CLARIFICATION MAY BE MADE PRIOR TO THE START OF WORK. 5. ELEVATIONS SHOWN ARE TO FINISHED SURFACE OR PIPE INVERT UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. 6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN AND PROTECT OR REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL LANDSCAPING, TREES, UTILITIES, DITCHES, CULVERTS, FENCES, MAILBOXES, SIGNS LIGHT POLES, HEADGATES, AND ALL OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. ANY DAMAGE DONE BY THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REPAIRED AT HIS EXPENSE. 7. GENERAL LOCATIONS AND SIZES OF UTILITIES ARE SHOWN ON THE PLANS. THEY ARE TO BE USED FOR GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANIES WHEN CONSTRUCTION MIGHT INTERFERE WITH NORMAL OPERATION OF ANY UTILITIES. IT SHALL ALSO BE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANY FIELD-LOCATE ANY UTILITY INSTALLATIONS WHICH MIGHT BE AFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK IN THAT AREA. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING SERVICE OF EXISTING UTILITIES AND FOR RESTORING ANY UTILITIES DAMAGED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. 8. THERE SHALL BE A 10 FEET MINIMUM HORIZONTAL SEPARATION DISTANCE BETWEEN ALL WATER LINES AND SEWER LINES EXCEPT WHERE WATER AND SEWER LINES CROSS AT APPROXIMATELY RIGHT ANGLES, WHERE A MINIMUM OF 1.5 FEET OF VERTICAL SEPARATION SHALL BE MAINTAINED. 9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING SOURCES FOR GRANULAR MATERIAL. DISPOSAL SITES, AND ANY ADDITIONAL MATERIALS THAT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR PROPER CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT. 10. IT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR WATER REQUIRED FOR TESTING, COMPACTION AND DUST CONTROL MEASURES. A WATER METER WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE CITY AT NO CHARGE. 11. WHERE WORK IS PERFORMED ON EASEMENTS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE EVERY PRECAUTION TO ELIMINATE ANY ADVERSE EFFECTS ON THE ADJACENT PROPERTY. 12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL MEASURES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LATEST EDITION OF THE MANUAL OF UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES. 13. ALL TRENCH BACKFILL COMPACTION SHALL BE TYPE A-1 UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED ON PLANS. 14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CONFORMING WITH OSHA REQUIREMENTS DURING CONSTRUCTION FOR TRENCH EXCAVATION, CONFINED SPACE AND OTHER SAFETY STANDARDS REQUIRED DURING CONSTRUCTION. 15. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ANY REQUIRED GROUND WATER DEWATERING TO CONSTRUCT THIS PROJECT. WATER LEVEL SHALL BE MAINTAINED ONE FOOT BELOW THE BOTTOM OF THE TRENCH. 16. DISTANCES SHOWN ALONG PIPELINES ARE HORIZONTAL DISTANCES AND NOT PIPE LENGTH. 17. ALL WATER LINES ARE TO BE LOCATED AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS UNLESS RELOCATED IN THE FIELD BY THE ENGINEER TO AVOID UNFORESEEN UTILITY INTERFERENCE. 18. MINIMUM CLEARANCE BETWEEN NEW PIPELINES, EXISTING UTILITIES, AND STRUCTURES (EXCEPT SEWERS) SHALL BE TWO FEET HORIZONTALLY. 19. THERE ARE OTHER EXISTING FACILITIES WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION CORRIDOR THAT ARE NOT SHOWN ON THE PLANS. THESE MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: MAILBOXES, STREET SIGNS, ETC. CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN AND PROTECT WHEN POSSIBLE AND REPLACE INKIND OTHERWISE. THIS WORK WILL BE INCIDENTAL TO OTHER BID ITEMS. 20. THE PHOTO SHOWN ON THESE PLANS WAS TAKEN IN 2012 AND DOES NOT ACCURATELY REPRESENT CURRENT DEVELOPMENT. 21. ALL CONTRACTORS WORKING WITHIN THE PROJECT BOUNDARIES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLIANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE SAFETY LAWS OF ANY JURISDICTIONAL BODY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL BARRICADES, SAFETY DEVICES AND CONTROL OF TRAFFIC WITHIN AND AROUND THE CONSTRUCTION AREA. 22.
