GENERAL:1.UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN ON THESE PLANS, ALL WORK IS TO BE DONE INACCORDANCE WITH THE LATEST EDITION OF THE IDAHO STANDARDS FOR PUBLICWORKS (I.S.P.W.C.) CONSTRUCTION AND THE CITY OF REXBURG'S REVISIONS.2.PIPE MATERIAL FOR THIS PROJECT SHALL BE:PRESSURE SEWER C900SANITARY SEWER SDR 353.ALL DISTANCES AND DATA SHALL BE CHECKED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO THESTART OF CONSTRUCTION. IN CASE OF CONFLICT, THE ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIEDIMMEDIEATELY SO THAT CLARIFICATION MAY BE MADE PRIOR TO THE START OFWORK.4.ELEVATIONS SHOWN ARE TO FINISHED SURFACE OR PIPE INVERT UNLESS OTHERWISENOTED.5.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN AND PROTECT OR REMOVE AND REPLACE ALLLANDSCAPING, TREES, UTILITIES, DITCHES, CULVERTS, FENCES, MAILBOXES, SIGNS,LIGHT POLES, HEADGATES, AND ALL OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. ANY DAMAGEDONE BY THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REPAIRED AT CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.6.GENERAL LOCATIONS AND SIZES OF UTILITIES ARE SHOWN ON THE PLANS. THEY ARETO BE USED FOR GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THECONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANIES WHENCONSTRUCTION MIGHT INTERFERE WITH NORMAL OPERATION OF ANY UTILITIES. ITSHALL ALSO BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE APPROPRIATEUTILITY COMPANY FIELD-LOCATE ANY UTILITY INSTALLATIONS WHICH MIGHT BEAFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK IN THAT AREA. THECONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING SERVICE OF EXISTINGUTILITIES AND FOR RESTORING ANY UTILITIES DAMAGED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ATNO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.7.WHERE WORK IS PERFORMED ON EASEMENTS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE EVERYPRECAUTION TO ELIMINATE ANY ADVERSE EFFECTS ON THE ADJACENT PROPERTY.8.MINIMUM CLEARANCE BETWEEN NEW PIPELINES, EXISTING UTILITIES, ANDSTRUCTURES (EXCEPT SEWERS) SHALL BE TWO FEET HORIZONTALLY.9.THERE ARE OTHER EXISTING FACILITIES WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION CORRIDOR THATARE NOT SHOWN ON THE PLANS. THESE MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THEFOLLOWING: MAILBOXES, STREET SIGNS, ETC. CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN ANDPROTECT WHEN POSSIBLE AND REPLACE IN KIND OTHERWISE. THIS WORK WILL BEINCIDENTAL TO OTHER BID ITEMS.10.THE PHOTO SHOWN ON THESE PLANS WAS TAKEN IN 2017 AND DOES NOTACCURATELY REPRESENT CURRENT DEVELOPMENT.11.ALL CONTRACTORS WORKING WITHIN THE PROJECT BOUNDARIES ARE RESPONSIBLEFOR COMPLIANCE WITH ALL SAFETY LAWS OF ANY JURISDICTIONAL BODY. THECONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL BARRICADES, SAFETY DEVICES, ANDCONTROL OF TRAFFIC WITHIN AND AROUND THE CONSTRUCTION AREA.12.WORK SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY ANY POLITICAL AGENCY MUST BE APPROVED PRIORTO: BACKFILLING TRENCHES FOR PIPE, PLACING OF AGGREGATE BASE, PLACING OFCONCRETE, AND PLACING OF ASPHALT PAVING. WORK DONE WITHOUT SUCHAPPROVAL DOES NOT RELIEVE THE CONTRACTOR FROM THE RESPONSIBILITY OFPERFORMING THE WORK IN AN ACCEPTABLE MANNER.13.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP ON SITE AT ALL TIMES A COPY OF THE APPROVEDCONSTRUCTION PLANS ON WHICH IS RECORDED THE ACTUAL LOCATIONS OF THECONSTRUCTED PIPELINE AND ANY OTHER UTILITIES ENCOUNTERED. THECONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE THESE LOCATIONS TO THE DESIGN ENGINEER FOR USEIN THE PRODUCTION OF RECORD DRAWINGS PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL OF THEPIPELINE INSTALLATION.14.SURFACE REPAIR NOT CALLED OUT ON THE PLANS SHALL BE REPLACED IN KIND ANDBE INCIDENTAL TO THE OTHER BID ITEMS.15.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TWO (2)WORKING DAYS BEFORE INITIAL CONSTRUCTION BEGINS AND SHALL ALSO REQUESTINSPECTION OF WATER AND SEWER LINES AND APPURTENANCES TWENTY FOUR (24)HOURS IN ADVANCE OF BACKFILLING.

BARREL SECTION
1.ALL CONCRETE PIPES (24" OR LESS IN DIAMETER) CONNECTED TO MANHOLES OR INLET BOXES SHALL HAVE A BELL AND SPIGOT JOINT LOCATED WITHIN 24" OF THE
OUTSIDE WALL OF STRUCTURE. THIS PROTRUDING PORTION OF PIPE SHALL BE SUPPORTED WITH CONCRETE UP TO, BUT NOT INCLUDING THE JOINT.
2.ALL EXPOSED SURFACES TO BE GROUTED SHALL FIRST BE COATED WITH AN EPOXY BOUNDING AGENT.
3.JOINTS, ETC., THAT MUST BE GROUTED, SHALL BE "DRY PACKED" WITH A NON-SHRINK, TYPE GROUT SUCH AS THORITE (STANDARD WALL PRODUCTS, INC.) OR
EQUIVALENT.
4.INLET BOX REBAR SHALL BE TIED TO REBAR IN CURB AND GUTTER WITH STANDARD TIE WIRE.
5.REBAR TO BE INCLUDED IN COST OF INLET BOX.
6.REBAR C3 SHALL BE OF ADEQUATE LENGTH TO BE WIRED TO REBAR C1, AND SHALL BE EMBEDDED IN THE BOX A MINIMUM OF 10 INCHES.
7.THE SPACING FOR THE C1 REBAR SHALL BE MAINTAINED WITH 9 GAUGE WIRE OR ADDITIONAL #4 REBAR AT THE ENDS.
8.SEE CURB & GUTTER STANDARD DRAWING FOR DIMENSIONS OF CURB AND GUTTER.
9.ALL CONCRETE SHALL BE CURED WITH A CURING COMPOUND AS SPECIFIED IN THE STANDARD SPECIFICATION OR AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER.
10.ALL EXPOSED STEEL SURFACES (FRAME & GRATE) SHALL BE PAINTED WITH TWO COATS OF OIL BASE PRIMER AND FINAL COAT OF OIL BASE PAINT. APPLICATION
RATE AND PAINTING MATERIALS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE OF IDAHO STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION LATEST
EDITION AND AMENDMENTS. FIRST TWO COATS SHALL BE PRIMED, FINAL COAT SHALL BE GRAY.
