IN CASE OF CONFLICT, THE ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIEDIMMEDIEATELY SO THAT CLARIFICATION MAY BE MADE PRIOR TO THE START OFWORK.4.ELEVATIONS SHOWN ARE TO FINISHED SURFACE OR PIPE INVERT UNLESS OTHERWISENOTED.5.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN AND PROTECT OR REMOVE AND REPLACE ALLLANDSCAPING, TREES, UTILITIES, DITCHES, CULVERTS, FENCES, MAILBOXES, SIGNS,LIGHT POLES, HEADGATES, AND ALL OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. THESE MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THEFOLLOWING: MAILBOXES, STREET SIGNS, ETC. CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN ANDPROTECT WHEN POSSIBLE AND REPLACE IN KIND OTHERWISE.
