1. FIRE DOORS & WINDOWS AT AREA SEPARATION WALL
A. Permanently affixed label required. ( Sec. 4306 {c), pg_ 701)
B. Closing Devise required (Sea 43'06(f) 1 B or C:, pe. 70'1 & 702)
C. Fire Damper required? Air duct from furnace. (Sec. 4306(f), pg. 702.),
2. DEVICES GENERATING GLOW OR SPARK XfUST BE
AT LEAST 18" ABOVE FLOOR. (Sec. 708, pg. 64)
Furnace room plus 2 other rooms with water heaters.
3. VEIv'TILATION.
I need information regarding the system ventilating capability..
pg,.Sec. ?OS (b), b? _.-_ requires 5 cu. ft. per minute of outside air per occupant.
Sec. 905(c), fig, 79 -- requires I cu. ft. per minute per sq. ft. of floor area.
Plus --- Each engine repair stili shall be equipped with an exhaust pipe extension,
extending W the outside of the building,. which shall mechanically exhaust 300 cu. ft.
per min. Connecting offices and waiting rooms shall be supplied with conditioned
air under positive pressure.
MY concern, of course, is about the accurmulation of carbon monoxide and ocher
car exhaust products. How will the ventilatinR system take care of these exhaust rod ucts?
How will the car repair/service area be taken care of? 7
'he o ces aid stack room
areas? The future customer waitinR room area that is so much lower than the
car repair- area and therefore more susceptible to pollutant concenration?
Also of concern is haw the vapors from gasoline or diesel spills will be removed.
4. ACCESSIBILITY SICrNING
Accessible entrance signs. (Sec. 3103 (b.) 4, pg. 601)
Accessible toilet sins. (Sec. 3105 (d) 5, pg. 604)
Grab bars are also needed by the toilet in the new rest room.
never fat to measure the heights of the various resp room facilities during my very
short visit to the site with the Fire Marshall.
5., RAMPS

Handrail --- Partzcuary needed on narraw ramp tO future customer waiting room.
 Sec. 3307(e).,.jPCr 641a anSec 3306 {i), pg 639) See, attached drawings
for possible edge treatments along the outer edges of the ramp.
