I. All manhole Flow lines shall be constructed
to provide smooth Flow through characteristic.
2 All concrete pipes (24' or less in dia.)
connected to manholas or inlet bows shall
have a bell and spigot joint located within
24 of the outside wall of structure. This
protruding portion of pipe shall be supported
with concrete up to, but not including
the joint
3. All surfaces (against which concrete or
grout is to be placed) shall first be
coated with on Egory bonding agent

If pipe is installed through manhole without

7. Match top of pipes when the inlet is smaller
in diameter than the outlet or as directed
by the City Engineer.

NOTES:
1. All manhole flow lines shall be constructed
to provide smooth flow through characteristic.
2. All concrete pipes (247 or less in dia.)
connected to manholes or inlet boxes shall
have a bell and spigot joint [=led within
24 of the outside wall of structure. This
pro ding portion of pipe shall be supported

NOTES;
1. All concrete shall be cured with a curing
compound as specified in the Standard
Specifications or as directed by the
City Engineer.
2. Each sidewalk intersection to be depressed
should be designed for the safety &
convenience of the pedestrians and the
handicapped. The transition slopes and
the slope from the back at the sidewalk
to the curb & gutter should be kept at a
minimum. Slopes that are too steep will
cause problems for the handicapped and
the elderly. Steep slopes will also present
a problem for oil pedestrians during icy
weather.
3. 4 inches of 3/4 compacted aggregate base
shall be required under all concrete where
unsuitable base material is encountered, if fill
material is required, or where directed by
City Engineer.

I. lY of Granular Borrow (see Standard Specifications
Section 201.03) shall be required under all
concrete unless naturally occuring granular
hose material is encountered and approved by the
City Engineer.
2. All concrete shall be cured with a curing
compound as specified in the Standard
Specifications or as directed by the
City Engineer. (Materials Section is 501.07)
3. Standard sidewalk width is 5 foot in new
construction. Standard slope is 1/4' per
foot to street.
4. Place preformed expansion joint filler of
driveway construction and at maximum
spacing of 50 feel for new sidewalk
construction.
5. 1:12 slope maximum
B. Elevation at bock of walk based upon a slope
rale of 1/4' per fool from the theoretical lop of
curb to bock of walk. Drivewoy slope will then be
variable matching the back of sidewalk elevation
and the top of depressed curb elevation.
