The "breakup" of the existing street surface is cased by subgrade failure. If we don't add some granular barrow under the 3/4" Aggr. Base, tete neer asphalt pavement will breakup like the old surtacehas done. I suggest you show 20 inches of Granular Borrow under the 6" of 3l4" Agar. Base. 2 --- The Granular Borrow layer should extend 0u# under the "' Road Base Shoulder"'; although, if you have a 3` asphalt paved shoulder, i question the need for a 6'wide grave! shoulder beyond It. A 2'wide gravel shoulder with a 4-1 slope would probably work OK. If you have plenty of money left in the grant, I would prefer- to expend the paving an up to Taylor Chevrolet; but I certainly have no objection to also widening out the subgrade with Granuiar Barrow as rt will just help cud dawn the cost of any future street widening project at this location. 3 --- Are the new edge of asphalt grades shown on she plans bas -e -d - match a future curb and gutter upon drying to profile gradefine you haUe established? If they aren't, we probably ought to design a future curb and gutter grade and slope the new asphalt towards it the best we can so we don't have to remove and replace the asphalt surface again at some future date when curb and n,ttP, r C n,rin ,., .._1 -GiiVl Et a r L. 4 --- Sht. Is a 12" diameter Saflftary SeV11eC pipe from the Pump Station to MH #1 to MH # 2 large enough? VVhat saes of pipes will be subbed out of MH # I and NIH # 2? There is a big service area back to the nosh, easy and south for these two manholes. If we have a 1211 sewer fine coming in from the west, I would imagine we would need 15" or forger from the east and south. I would gather be a i e size to large than a pike size too srraf on the main line as well as the stub -out lines. p Are the bantam Poios of these deep mnhoes always going to be dawn in the groundwater? Should we be 11C)i king at using the new manhole encasing materials such as "1Nrapid Seal if or some equivalent manhole encapsulation system whereportions of the manholes are always going to be under water? 10 --- We had same comments on the Fina!
