I have reviewed the most recent set of plans for the subject apartment complex. I would like to
commend you on a very compete and thorough set of plans. I have sere the plans on to the
Fire Dept. , Plumbing Insp. & Electrical Insp. for their review. I have only tvvo minor
comments: (I) It would be good to specify the hold down device connecting fl -
Lie trusses to the
walls; and (2) It mai be better to locate the "Hallway" smoke detector in the kitchen hallway
rather than the bedroom hallway.
1"'M off to Eaypt far bAro weeds of vacation. when I get hack, we will need to meed with
Harper -Leavitt and get this L.I.D. for the utilities squared away. Delbert Edstrom came to see
me Friday and said he wanted to start installing the utilities for your apartment complete. I
thought Harper -Leavitt was going to have an overall contract covering street 'construction as well
as the utility construction for both apartment complexes- however, I imagine �t can be worked out
where each apartment complex did their awn utilities. If this can't. wait until I het back, you
may want to discuss it with John Millar and Sieve Zollinger.

Attached are copies of Shts E-3 & E-4 whereon the Electrical Inspector his indxcated the need
for more electrical outlets in some of the apartrnentsn
Also attached is a copy of the Fire Dept's comments an the pian review. They would like to
see the southerly firs hydrant moved farther youth so ii is adjacent to the south drivewaye
They also indicate they need more informatim on on the sparinki�ng system and the fire alarm
system..
Please resubmit pian sheets and provide in:Formation seeded by the Fire Dept.
