Pam Smith attended the meeting, r2he mayor explained her water i
about JZo be turned off and she stated that three or four months ago
she had come in and put cash in the drop box but the records
don't show that she paid. Pam told the co - it she had all of her
kids witCl-h her and she put her money in cash sealed and addressed to the
City Rexburg and she tapped on the window because it wascash and
Valeea turned around and waved at her and Pam told her through the
window "Ca -s " and showed her the envelopeand Valeea said okay and now
there 'is no record. Valeea says she does not take the money out of the
drop box but she remembers Pam tapping on the window, She had never
tipped on the window to say high to Valeeabefore and had always paid
her bil]. before. She is just delinquent. Kay reminded hem that �S

The mayor referred to a letter from the Uniform Building Code Appeals

L .v,I o P v - Val Christenson explained that at the last MLeeting we had
q tions that come up about trees and he handed out some options (on
fl'le). option #3 ' moving the sewer line into the street which would
be an additional cost of about $83,000. Another option putting it
under the sidewalk would be an additional cost of about $54,000. There
2-s another option from H & K Contractors that they have the ability to
do pipe bursting. They are doing their first 3 t down to Idaho
Falls this Friday and don't want to give any price until a: they do
that pro3ect because they are not sure how much it will cost to do it.
Val has est.imated it at about $10,000 which might be high. He
explained the process. They go inside the pipe and mechanically expand
and break it and pmt a new pipe inside. You can do it in Place.

The mayor told the council that he had three letters this week
commending the police department for their good work. One from the St
Anthony Police Department for help our department had given them, one
from Anneta and Jane al Brower for helping find their daughter on July
and one from Kathy Sakollette for the help given by Officer Allen
and officer Larson for the support and heip at the Dog Show. file

passed his Certif2"-ed operator Class .2 on Distribution for the Water
Department. He wanted to congratulate Kip on improv2-ng to do hLS 3ob
better and this will qualify him for a 4% raise in his salary.
