LANDINGS AT DOORS:
1 } A floor or handing shall be provided on each side of doors. When
access for persons with disabilities is required. the flor or landing
shall not be more than X12 inch lower than the thresh -old. When access
is not required, the maximum is 1 inch. -- Sec. 1004.9
2} Landings shall have a with not less than the width of the stairway
or width of the doorway, whichever is the greater. The minimum

BUILDING ACCESSIBILITY. -
1) This
building including each tenant shall be provided with at feast
one entrance which complies with the accessible route provisions of
CABO/ANSI Al 17.1. At leash 50 percept of all entrances shall be

2) When more that one exit is required from any accessible space, each
accessible portion of the space shall be served by not less than two
accessible means of egress. -- Sec. 1'I04.1.1
3} When an exit stairway is part of an accessible means of egress, the
stairway shall have a dear width of not less than 48 inches betw inn
the handrails. The stairway shall either incorporate an area of refuge
within an enlarged story -level landing or siall be accessed from

ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES:

WATER FOUNTAINS AND WATER COOLERS:
At feast 50 percent of drinking fountains, but not less than ore,
provided on every, floor shalt be accessible. -- UBC Sec. 1105.4.1
Accessible units must comply with the fallowing:
1) Spout is to be within 35 inches of the door. -- Sec. 4.15.2.1
2)SPOUt arranged dor parallel approach shall be located 3 inches
maximum from the front edge. Spouts of eanfillevered units with
knee and toe clearances shaft be located 15 inches minimum from
the vertical support and 5 inches maximum from the frond edge.

TOILET FACILITIES:
1) A 60 inch diameter unobstructed burning space is required in
the toilet room. -- Sec. 4.16.3, 4.2.3 & Fig. B4.2.3
2} Wates closet shall be mounted adjacent to a side wall or
partition. The distance from the side wall or partition to the
centerline of the water closet shaft be 18 in. Sec. 4.17.1
3) When the accessible wafer closet is not in a stall:
The clear floor space shall be 48 in minimum in front
of the water closet and 42 in from the center line of the
water closed an the side not adjacent to the waif.
