I have reviewed your plans and have made a. couple of changes as per the Rexburg Fire
Depart -merit requests. The changes are marled in red and can be found on sheep C--].. We Will
still need stamped drawings which reflect the changes mentioned above. For the time beina you
may use the two redlined copies as City Approved Drawings. Please let. me know if I can be of

I have reviewed the plans. for the Mission Home apartments and have identified the
following discrepancies:

Clearly identify the city right-of-way (sheet C2).
Provide 18 foot wide aisles between 600par-king as per City of Rexburg Zoning
Ordinance section S.5 past B.(sheet C2).
Include drawing detailing City of Rexburg driveway details (sheet C-2),, I have
attached these details to this letter.. A digital copy can be P rflvided to you at your
request. Take notice of nate #1 on the driveway detail. The requirement for 12"
of granular borrow was crewed because of the. problems we have experienced on
the very hill where your project is located. The soil is a very fie sift and acts as a
sponge holding water under the concrete surfaces. We have experienced
tremendous problems With concrete subs prematurely breatcing apart. Now the
city requires a mini,n_1um of 12" of granular boffow under all sidewalks and
driveways within the city right-of-way unless naturally occurring gravels are
present.
As type V- N, an area separation wall will be needed to limit the area of 2ndfloor
to under 3000 sq. fie as per 1994 UBC section ,31 14.2.Z. Otherwise it must be built
throughout as I her. fire rated as der section 601.5-2.2. Please list Type of
construction on the plans. The City of Rexburg Fire Department instructs me That
for Type V -N the flow inust be 30[]0 gal/min. For Type V- 1 hr. the flow may be
1750 gal/mm". The 6" line which crosses the properly will not deliver 300a
gal/min. A 12" dine is located on 2' Easy but would require the expense QF a road
cut.
