Bari ward came to the office and requested a meeting concerning the above building. Those in
attendance were Bari ward, Sam, from Castlerock Industries, teff Lerw*11, Joe Laird, ValChristensen and Marilyn Hansen.
Discussion was concexz�ing the Iapse of ii�ne from the b�gixin�ng of construction of the buildinor
to the Building Permit Ataplicati�r1 as ur�il as 1ac� of znspectivns. �t was de�em�ined that Blau
had comp�.eted a footing anspectian on. August 5, 1 9 91 which is Me only insperfion Qho-vvr1 in the
fled It was explained by Sam that Delynn Edstrom had been there an previous occasions for the
Plumbing inspections (which Delynn conliirmed layer when. he cane into the meeting) and that
John Millar had inspected the layout and had been to the building on a number of occasions for
inspections whish were not documented.
They had apparently met with Blair Manwanng yesterdeay cemang his inspections.
Jae discussed with Sam the problems whish Blair had talked o� concerning the "bird baths" in the
i-ioor or ane t�uildzng. Sam made bus explanation of the reason and fedi that there was not a
problem.

We. have the following, comments regarding the plans for the subject building.
�. --- Site Pian - The Protective Covenants for the subdivision state that: "All parking areas shall
be set beck a minimum of five feet from adjoining property lines." (See Sec. VI.A.21, copy
attached). This indicates there. needs to be a five ft. wide landscaped strip along the east and
south sides of the parking lot an the east side of the building.
2 --- Site Plan - The Protective Cotenants for the subdivision state that: "parking shall be set
back a minimum of 5 ft, from the front of any buflding." (See Sec. VI.A.3, attached)
3 --- -Site Plan - The Protective Covenants for the subdivision stake that: " One sign may be
permitted on the front setback line of each lot and one sign may be attached to the side of the
building which faces a street. (See Sec. LX.C) If the sign is to be located on the front setback
line

4--- Site Plan - The Solid Waste Enclosure is Located in such a manner that it cannot be accessed
by the garbage truck. Attached herewith is a draining showing the dimensions of the garbage
truck and its pickup arms that can be used to help you select a location that can be accessed by
the garbage truck.
The Site Plan does not include enough elevations or slopes to .show how on-site drainage is goinab
to be taken care of. Drainage can go out the driveways to the streets but it can not go onto the
adjacent property owners land. Similarly, fill or cut slopes cannot expend onto �he adjacent
owners land.
5 --- The plans include no architectural. details. Will there be anything over the concrete block
walls, or will they just lie painted) A typical wall section or sections are needed to show how the,
intenor walls will be constructed. I understood from our telephony discuss -Ion that you were
wing to use steel studs with 5/8" gypboard, Type X, on bothsides for the interior walls but this
isnot shown on the plans. How will these walls bye connected, to the floor`? How will they be,
connected ro the roof trusses? Of what
mate-rial wild the, ceiling be constructed of and how4will
it be held in, place? The location and type of ceiling draft stops need to be shown (UBC Sec.
708. 1 . 1 .3 and 708.3.1.2. 1) What sort of floor covering is gto be installed`1 2"' rigid

around 564 sq. ft., which, when divided by the Occupant Load Factor of 100 sq.ft, per occupant
(UBC Table ICS) results in an occupant load of 5.64 occupants. This indicates that there needs
tfl be rest rooms for both sexes for each office complex. If the 2 offices marked "Storage=' were
