Comm-e'rits-, Val, Upon reviewing the code analysis for the Melaleuca Call tenter in our office, we feel that the, occupancy classification for the Salesata Processing area (11-5) and Employee Lounge (112) should: be B instead of A-3. Thi is based upon Section 03 of the Handbook to the U niform Building Code. It states that an important item to be considered in Section -303 is the defimtion of assembly building.(See attached fax.) We feed that these rooms (112 & 115) do not fall under an assembly building definition. We wish to brink this to your attention as fou review the above proj eco. 1 } r S k r _ 1 1 1 i t r L yr I three .:r - blies. Also see the, discussioll tinder S ecti on 3 02.4, 302.4 Fire Ratings for Occupancy Separations. The firc-re- sisfive ratings required by the code for the vanvus separations ars determined in accordance with U.B.C. Standard 7-1 dor walls and floors, U.B.C.
